Masturbation. Am I doing this right?

    I'm a 24 year old male. I need to cut down on my masturbation frequency. I've been using masturbation as a way of not having to deal with things that I should be dealing with. Every time I come across something that I don't want to do (but should), or don't want to think about some aspect of my reality that's depressing me I turn to masturbation to distract myself. The sessions usually last about an hour or a little more and I do it on average twice a day.

    I've decided to not masturbate at all during the week and only allow myself to do it in the weekends (until I've gotten it under control). During the week I'll try to install some habits that I think will be beneficial to me (excercising regularly being one of them).

    I'm looking for advice about my strategy. Does it make sense? Is there anything else that I can implement? Is it realistic (it's Thursday of the first week of doing this and I already want to start the weeked early :p)?

    Well, nothing wrong with exercising and all, but there are a lot worse things you could do for yourself than masturbate-it's a helluva lot better for you than drugs or smoking-it's natural and healthy. I guess if your ding-dong gets sore, you could cut down on it a little ;) Otherwise I wouldn't worry about it

    It's the fact that I don't get anything done that's the problem... I distract myself from doing what needs to be done with all kinds of shit, but masturbation is just the more prevalent one.

    why don't you just rub one out in 10 minutes rather than an hour? then you can still get things done...

    Well hey, how about you try to get whatever you need to get done first, and then reward yourself by masturbating? Just a thought... In a way I can relate to your situation, though... Mine, however, is a bit fucked up. These last few days, I've just been unable to stop touching myself. I'd edge the fuck out of myself, for hours on end, and I sacrifice my sleep time doing this shit. And the best(sarcasm, I mean, come on, lol) part... I'm scared to cum. I haven't had an orgasm in over a month now. But I've been craving the sexual stimulation like crazy lately. It's definitely stress induced in my case. I've got some preblem happening at the moment. So I'm trying to deal with that, taking one step at a time.

    Thanks for the reply guys. I guess doing what needs to be done then masturbating might be a better solution (I couldn't wait until Saturday and beat one off yesterday, lol). I think I'll start small with just a few things on my do to list and allow myself to jerk off for 1 hour max per day and gradually make the to do list longer and the masturbation time smaller.
