lol. i'm thinking of doing it for the placebo effect. i think occaisional fasting has some good mental health effects. discipline, distraction, habit breaking. read: no beer. i'm big on breaking big habits right now. i know nutritionally it's shit, but still, it doesn't last that long. anyone ever do it?
ten solid days of nothing but lemonade, laxatives, wheatgrass and water. lotsa water. i think it's the discipline of it that appeals to me.
I get lightheaded and migraines if I don't eat. You must have a lot of discipline, I could not do it.
I wouldn't last a day. Good luck. i understand wanting the discipline part... for the same reason i know I wouldn't last a day. If I could figure out such discipline and willpower over my body I would be perfect.
Marie did it and finished it succesfully several times. I know SylvanLightning did it for a really long time too. Personally, it's not my thing. I always end up gaining more weight than I lost after I fast. I went on a 10 day juice last last March-all green juice with apples and parsley. it majorly sucked. I remember being at work on the 10th day (I was aiming for 21 days) and one of the patients bringing me a box of chocolate as a thank you. I think I ate half the box in one sitting and that was that. juice fast over baby.
i tried fasting once but my body needs nutrients. I'm thinking of doing it again with the multi vitamin and just water for aweek...it's really not healthy tho...if you're gunna do the cleanse, do the one where you slowly ween yourself off of food and be without for like 2 days then slowly get yourself back on track.
