Marshall Tucker Band

Any other fans? No one ever talks about these guys here or otherwise.
Also, what kind of music would you say they are...what genre would you put them with? I've never really thought much about it, but I've heard people call them country. I wouldn't call them country though....more like southern rock. Whatta ya think?

I think it a fantastic blend of the genres leaning mostly on country.

Actually, Those albums I listed are from mid to late '70's (my goof-up)
Their debut was releised in '73.

Marshall Tucker Band is definately worth a listen if you haven't already. Of course Can't You See is probably their most popular, but they have a bunch of great songs.

I think I would call them Country Rock, like Lynard Skynard or Molly Hatchet

I just found out recently that my mom went on tour with them to sing backup... and I used to think my mom was a loser...
