Mark Anthony's eulogy for Caesar in Shakespeare's Julius Caesar is an ironic plot twist. Because he is allowed to speak, but not cause any trouble. So he tells the Romans

    "I only speak right on.
I tell you that which you yourselves do know."

    and

"For Brutus is an honorable man.
So are they all, all honorable men."

Unlike Brutus he makes a rational argument and only tells them what they knew. But by the end of the speech it is was obvious that they weren't honorable men at all.

Also I studied this in HS for the first time. And our teacher brought up an interesting fact. The speech was an appeal to correct an injustice. But the thing that pushed the people of Rome over the edge was when he said he found Caesar's will and they were his heirs. Because they wanted their money at that point and so the conspirators had to let him finish.

Also interesting is I asked on another message board if this actually happened, the speech to start a riot to correct this injustice. They said it did, though maybe not exactly the way in the play.
