Okay, but she's pissed over being "ambushed with cookies". She can't just laugh it off and say "My bad, Guam is not a foreign country", she has to throw a fit over it. That's no sense of humor, the other senses, or lack thereof, will be discussed another time. Probably soon. :tongueclosed:

More things should be done to piss her off and get under her skin so that she can continue to spew off with her ignorant pie hole! She looks stupid every time she does, and it’s so much easier to minimize her. Stupid bitch....

At the next session of congress they should have hundreds of cookies delivered and Nancy Pelosi can say, "Hey everyone, we're being ambushed with cookies!"

The Republican Party seems to be suffering from a distorted sense of reality

The Arizona republican legislature for instance recently filed a lawsuit against election officials of Maricopa County on how they tallied the vote. Despite numerous recounts which included a hand count, they just can’t accept the idea that Donald Trump lost the election.

The Judge threw out the lawsuit and ordered the Arizona republican party to pay the Secretary of State's Office $18,238 in legal fees.

    The Judge:

"The public has a right to expect the Arizona Republican Party to conduct itself respectfully," he wrote. "It has failed to do so in this case." “There’s no evidence of election fraud or misconduct”

I think it comes down to a sense of entitlement and privilege – many in the leadership of Republican Party (and their wealthy backers) now believe they have the right to rule – it’s like the old nobility of Europe who had no respect for those that they ruled over – they believed that they had the god given right to rule and so they should be allowed to do what they wanted whenever they wanted to the peasantry with little or no consequence, within a system that always favour ‘their kind’.

The question is are the peasants of the US going to allow this Republican nobility to take over?

Well I’m sorry to point out that even during noble's rule in Europe many of the ‘common people’ supported the nobility and the system of privilege it could not have existed otherwise. Many commons went along with the propaganda (often pumped out by the church) that royalty and the nobility where their ‘betters’ who were entitled to rule because of their ‘blue blood’. The privileged also used differences in class, culture and ethnicity to sow division - to turn one group of the commons against another. That is the reason there were not that many peasant revolts and revolutions and when there were many ‘common people’ fought on the side of the nobility and for the system of privilege (against their own interests)

Democratic systems were meant to create a balance between the interests of the privileged and wealthy and the interests of the ‘common’ people.

The problem is that wealth sponsored propaganda has spread division and doubt and created a large number of ‘common people’ who now actually support the privileged class and believe them their ‘betters’ who should be entitled to rule because of their ‘superiority’.

It's easy to understand why so many wealthy people are staunchly Republican; the party does everything it can to enrich them while telling middle-class and poor folks that this isn't so. Meanwhile, the rich must be laughing behind their hands at the naivety of those less fortunate, realizing that the middles & poors just can't (or won't) see the contradictions that are right in front of them. At the same time, without the votes and support of the poor, the rich understand that the benefits enjoyed by the elite wouldn't exist, so they're compelled to support the GOP idea that they are primarily in the business of supporting the middle class and poor.

This was so in past centuries when common folks totally worshiped the King who was oppressing them, much in the manner that today's people have illogically idolized Trump.....starting with the notion of their belief that a person born mega-wealthy (Trump) is the one who best understands their problems). After studying history in high school, we wonder why the commoners couldn't see what seemed so obvious..... and that logic applies even more today. With all the information available to us, plus all we should have learned from history, it seems incredible that the words of Trump & the ignorant ravings of people like Marjorie Taylor Greene could take such root in our society.

So many middle class, rather than unite with the poor against the rich, unite with the rich against the poor. Republicans can claim to be anti-racism but in subtle ways they promote it, stoking the anti-minority, anti-muslim and anti-immigration values embraced by so many blue collar whites. These people won't believe that the wealthy are at the root of the problems of society, that it's the poor minorities either leeching off the system or trying to rise above it and taking jobs away from white people. Add to that anti-abortion and pro-gun rights and they're Republican supporters for life.

Do I want someone elite to be in charge? Yes I do, if by elite you mean someone who's smart, very competent and a good leader/negotiator. If it's someone wealthy then let it be someone who struggled to earn it. Donald Trump was born rich and could never have obtained great wealth on his own, and his kids even less so. What he has is a talent for "baffling them with bullshit", getting the gullible to believe he represents them when all the evidence to the contrary is right in front of them. As for those of us who see through his facade, we're anti-American, guilty of thought-crime.

Ah but that is why there is often a ‘culture war’ over what ‘history’ is allowed to be taught.

Do we celebrate the ‘great’ deeds of ‘noble’ men (it’s virtually always men) and the exceptionalism of the fatherland and the glorious expansion of empire and dominion or do we ask questions - like who lived well and who didn’t, what was the role of slavery, was imperialism really glorious, is nationalism a good thing and just a minute but where are all the women?

There is an interesting debate going on in the UK at the moment. An organisation that is charged with looking after and perserving our national history and heritage is under attack from many on the right for wanting to explain and teach British history – why – because it is highlighting the role that the slave trade and the exploitation of slaves underpinned the wealth of many of the elites in the history of Britain.

The National Trust is under attack because it cares about history, not fantasy | Peter Mitchell

For many on the right history’s role is to bolster national pride and nationalism and where possible promoting the role of the elite in a glorious past, the slaves, peasants, commoners and poor have no role in that history, they drag it down, and people might begin to ask some difficult questions if their history was better known, questions like why were so many people, even children, been so badly treated and exploited all for the benefit of so few.

    *

And the right will fight to try and preserve 'its' history

Back in 2020 a large group of protesters pulled down a statue of a slave trader in Bristol

The day Bristol toppled Colston – and a nation began to search its soul

Yesterday in 2021 the right wing government responded by passing a law that would allow those protestors to be sentenced to prison for ten years - as many have pointed out the prison sentence for rape is only 5 years.

It continues. There are those that are and have been those humans ,that are so devoid of empathy, a sense of equity and hold such twisted opinions of their fellow humans, that they continue to perform their dirty deeds in plain sight without fear of reprisal. I'm sure that it has been ever thus going back to the earliest history of humanity. They have done their deeds--the results of their lust for power and control over others beginning with the most primitive of weapons and now by guns and goons or as is otherwise done --by "legal" papers/methods , outright lying and subterfuge. The same %age of humans I'm sure, are by dint of ignorance or stupidity, do remain under the jack boots of the greedy.

They're smart , these modern hucksters. They have seen just how to control the masses with shiny objects, plastic bullshit , idol worship, the "you too can have the American dream" method of maintaining the zombie treadmills that take up so much of our lives. Never mind learning "the rules." They'll change ém up on you if it's to their advantage. I know that this world is not being "run"correctly when millions are starving, wars, religious and otherwise still rage, some humans are "worth " billions or millions and people here are still losing their homes , what money they have managed to save , the population continues to rise, and the global weather is showing serious affects worldwide.

To sum up- please don't forget to: BUY MORE. BUY MORE NOW.

The sad thing is that it’s more than likely not going to happen. There’s no support at all from the Republican side. I like how she drags other people into her struggle- not realizing that she’s the problem by herself. Stupid bitch.

Oh they are fed up with her, but they’re hesitant on crucifying one of their own for the for the sake of the Democrats. They’re trying to play this united front bullshit- same as the impeachment trials. The Democrats at least are calling Coumo (clearly one of their own) out for his failures, his inappropriate behavior and requesting his resignation. GOP won’t do this for some reason.
