I've been reading this one for a while. I looked for it for forever before finally finding a cheaper used copy online. I have been interested in him for a long while, for more than just his image, but his message and his psychology. While, it's not the most well written autobiography, I still have found it very insightful to him and his lifestyle and message. I still adore the man and see that he is brilliant, but my view of him has broadened and changed after reading this. With everything he was exposed to as a child and has exposed himself to while living this lifestyle, it has caused major negativity and psychological problems. His mind has been severely damaged because of, not only the drugs, but everything he has witnessed. Granted, I think most rockstars go through this, but this is Marilyn Manson we're talking about. He is the grunge of grunge. And if you've read this, you know what I'm talking about. I still have the utmost respect for Mr. Brian Warner. He has a great mind and he is highly intelligent. I can't help but feel that way, especially for the price he has paid in order to send the messages that he sends. And even after all of it, he has a good heart. Unfortunately, he would argue that, but he speaks for those who are not heard and holds the true victims of bullying, abuse, rape, etc close to his heart. Anyone else read this? Or interested in reading it? Discuss!!
I read this! Amazing. He's one of my biggest role models. I love his honesty and his sense of humor of course. Throughout the book he talks about so many traumatic experiences but still keeps things kind of light-hearted. Ah, dark humor. One of my favourite books.
