I am very pro marijuana. Something I have noticed though over the years is that I never seem to dream when I go to bed high. Since I consider dreaming an important part of my spirituality and my existence in general, I have been limiting the times I smoke at night to give my dreams a chance to happen. Has anyone else noticed that effect?

I've actually been having very vivid dreams recently, that I can clearly remember when I wake up, and I smoke before bed every night. I don't know if it happens all of the time, but recently it has been happening a lot.

I dream every night and I usually remember at least a couple significant parts of it. Dreams come and go with the moon however. When its a full moon my dreams get more colorful and wierd, and I remember more of the dream. The moon also greatly affects my mood, not in a good or bad way, but just a different way. When its full I'm usually more energetic, positive, and think in a different way than if the moon is half or empty (the right terminology?).

When I go to bed high(Usually I do) I dream some very vivid dreams that seem real and all, but as soon as I wake up I can't remember shit about them, except for the fact that the dream seemed really real and I feel like it was extremely important and I get pissed cuz I can't remember it, but occasionally by the slight off chance that I don't go to bed stoned then I dream and remember it but it's not as vivid and real feeling and I don't have the strange feeling of the dream being extremely important

I take Zoloft for anxiety, and have extremely VIVID dreams in the morning. Sometimes they go on forever (or seem to) and are really detailed. I can remember them hours after I wake too.
I also smoke pot everynight, and I tend to fall into a really deep sleep so I don't dream as much at night. But I usually wake up to change the baby and then go back to bed for a couple more hours and that's when I dream the most. Maybe it's cause I'm not high anymore...

Hey if you want dreams no matter how ripped you get before going to bed, just take "Vitamin B-6". Take it 3-4 hours before going to bed. You will have lots of dreams!!

I have dreams when I go to bed high, but they kinda speed up, I dont know. It's hard to understand what happens to them, I just end up with this bunch of mashed together scenes.

I'll have to try that. If I get REALLY ripped I have trouble going to sleep, but it would be great to have dreams more often. Of course, sometimes I get a run of nightmares and then it's a good thing not to dream, but dreams that aren't nightmares make life so much more interesting.

Seems like for me the dreams that really have something to say to me are the ones where there's an intense feeling that goes with them. Like I had a dream the other night where I was being physically punnished for something I didn't do, and when I woke up, the only thing that made me remember the dream was this feeling I woke up with. It sounds weird but I woke up with this feeling of being innocent. Then I remembered the dream, and finally figured out that that was the message of the dream--that I'm innocent and no one has the right to punnish me. But if I hadn't had that feeling with it, I would have just wondered "what the hell was THAT all about?" [IMG]

That's something I never thought of. I have noticed that I tend to have more insomnia when the moon is full. I'll have to pay attention to that.

That is exactly the kinda thing I experiance just about every night(The nights I go to bed high) There is this girl i've always liked you see, and I had a dream about her and I fell in love with her in the dream and everything was perfect, and I awoke and forgot ALL of the dream almost instantly, but I was left with the feeling that I was in love, like seriously in love with this girl, and I still sort of feel this way since the dream, but I could remember the whole dream because of that feeling. REALLY strange, as I am not the kind of person to "love" and I would never say I loved that girl, just liked, but ever since I have had that dream I can honestly say it's possible for me to love. and i've always had this special feeling for that girl, but it still feels sort of awkward because it's like that feeling has been engraved into my soul forever. So yea. I couldn't hate that girl now if I tried.

I know kinda weird ass story making me sound like a stalker and such, but i'm not, and I never really even talked to this girl much, just a chick I saw around school, but lately we've been gettin rather close, so maybe the dream forsaw the future? Maybe pot lets you see the future in your dreams but causes you to forget what you found out when you wake up.

Haha, and i'm done with my stoned rambling aswell.

Right now Im trying to grow that herb/plant that causes lucid dreaming when Its brewed in tea or smoked. I forget the name but you can look it up. I also don't really dream when I smoke, but I dream vividly when sober.

It doesn't sound weird to me at all. It sounds beautiful!
I think there might be a similarity between your dream and mine--beyond just the feeling bringing back memory of the dream. You said you aren't normally one to feel love like that. I don't walk around feeling innocent---in fact I pretty much never feel that way, which I think is why the dream made me feel it.
I believe the purpose of dreams a lot of the time is to make us aware of parts of ourselves we usually are'nt in touch with. Maybe your dream wasn't so much showing your future as it was showing you your self.
Maybe just like my dream helped me get in touch with my innocence, yours is getting you in touch with your ability to love deeply. Dreams help us to stay connected to parts of our innermost selves which are otherwise blocked off for some reason. It wasn't engraved, it was there already but you couldn't access it until the dream unblocked it. It could be a sign you and that girl are meant to be, too. You never know. That's why dreams are so important though.
