Marc Emery: 90 Days!!!!! :((

I'm parafrasing a little:

Today as you freely pass your joint take a moment to remember Marc Emery. Who has been sentenced to 90 days for passing a joint in Saskatoon. Sometimes we all need a little help.

Fuck me. 3 months for smoking a joint (Granted his idea of crossing the country smoking pot infront of cop shops wasn't well concieved in my opinion ) In Canada. I do hope this bloody trend doesn't spead. I think that sends a pretty negative message to pro pot tourists (Remember 30% of Canadians smoke pot). If your pro pot don't come to Saskatoon we'll lock you up for smoking a spliff. Typically in Canada if they're being really anal and you have a massive amount of pot on you (over 28 grams). They'll give you 3 days. And then suspend it because it's not worth the hassle of sticking you in there for 72 hours.

Are you disturbed by this or do you think some right wing judge was just trying to make an example out of a prominant (Sp?) Pot culture figure in Canada.

 

What Marc Emery needs is to suck my balls.

I've got no problem with his business model as such (if people want to overpay for random seeds, then there will be a market for people overcharging for random seeds, just economics). Nonetheless I do have a problem with how he reacts to complaints from his customers, threatening to co-operate with LEO is not cool, especially with all the rumours of his "narcing" people out in the past. He's the last guy that should be going around threatening to talk to the cops.

He can take his millions and stuff it. It's 3 months. The man went across the country, TAUNTING and harassing LEO. You don't think they're gonna take him down and make an example of him? He should have just kept his mouth shut and sold his over-priced seeds.

Marc Emery has done a lot for the legalization movement in Canada, donating most of his money and time to the cause. I'm surprised so many people here are anti-emery.

 

ahahahahahaha, that bastard finally got what was comming to him. marc is an asshat who rapes babies in their sleep. he is also a multi millionaire who makes his money off the pretense of helping hte cannibis movement in canada and abroad when all he does is chepen and commercialize it. if i wanted the cannibis culture turned into the pepsi culture i'd like marc...but seeing as i don't. fuck the bastard.

and no he has not donated 'most' of his money to anything besides his bank account.

Wake the fuck up! How the hell do you think it's going to get legalized if someone is'nt fronting the cash? You need money to make change, and last time I checked, none of you have millions of dollars sitting around. If Marc Emery is so damn terrible, let's see you guys grow some nuts and get out there and be active in the fight against the cannabis prohibition.

 

Let's not forget he has been known to send bagseed as $100-$200 seeds, as well as sending different orders, without caring. Both comments were verified by co-workers of his. The man needs to be stopped. He is no prince of pot. He is a follower, someone who jumped on the pot culture's band wagon to make a little coin.

He owes me a pack of seeds to replace those ditchweed seeds he sent me instead of Bubblegum x Haze x Skunk#1 a few years ago... god-awful shit, didn't even look like weed... totally unsmokable, tiny dry buds... but all the other strains growing in the same room were fine. However his customer service policy is just to threaten to narc you out so....

He went looking for trouble and found some. I really feel sorry for him....................not!

The price of ONE pack of his seeds should cover the court costs.... a few more packs and he's paid the fines, bond and lawyer's retainer too. Finally something to spend all that coin on.

and he's not fronting the cash. he's pocketing the cash. take 9/10ths of "compassion" clubs in california. they pay the growers next to nothing, and sell the products to the sick at above street level prices. where does that money go? back into the compassion club? towards the ending cannibis prohibition? no. it goes into the pockets of the guy who owns the compassion club, his huge mansion and rediculously expensive sports cars.

some people advance the cause, some people advance themselves in the name of the cause, marc emery fits into the latter.

i advance the cause, i attend the protests and engage people in conversation and friendly arguements argueing the points of why cannibis should be legal, and what do i gain out of it? nothing. i gain the ability to be ridiculed for voicing my not so popular opinions, and the chance of being watched more carefully or put on a list for my opinions. what does marc gain from his rediculous escapades? he gets negative press on marijuana smokers, and he gets money for seeds by throwing himself out there, in a contrived PUBLICITY STUNT. it has NOTHING to do with advancing the cause NOTHING. it has everything to do with how much money he's gonna make this week.

i don't do capitolism. capitolism can suck my balls. im not gonna replace a capitolist pig alcohol baron, or a capitolist pig tobbacco baron for a capitolist pig marijuana baron. if nike started manufacturing a hippie line of shoes and clothing would you jump at the chance to buy it? i wouldn't. it's not the look that counts. it's not the plant itself, its the values there in. nike doesnt have the values i look for in a manufacturer, just like marc doesnt have the value i look for in a good human being.

as has been mentioned marc doenst give a fuck about his customers. once he has your money, you are dirt to him. he doesnt care about the average grower. or the average smoker. he doesnt give a fuck about legalization. he cheapens the cause to keep it illegal, because he can't make money off of it when it's legal. marc gains nothing from legalization which is precisely why marc doenst want legalization.

go ahead, put your faith in this shepperd to lead your flock away from the wolves at bay, but be fair warned he will strip you of your wool, and leave you at winters edge.
