Mandalas in motion: An intoduction to 4-aco-Dmt

Set: The previous day I had taken by far my biggest dose of N,N DMT. I took 4 successful large rips and got bonked on the head by its intensity while simultaneously nearly blacking out and puking. I remember one sliver of the experience which was these dancing lights' which normally are friendly and positive energy and stand out from the dmt palace turned a dark red and all simultaneously formed together into a whole gigantic foreboding fractalized face that seemed to be scolding me and my bravado for trying to dig so deep into their territory. After I came to I relaxed the rest of the afternoon and evening not even really trying to analyze the trip much as the rest of it was pretty much a blackout.

The following day I still felt lethargic but I think mainly just because I Wanted to relax a day before this weekend. I was in a positive mood and mindset and I decided to dig into some 4-aco-dmt for the first time and was excited in hearing positive things about this substance and people using words like "friendly" and "valuable" that particularly stood out when they described the experience to me.

I took 20mgs and decided to go rectally with the dosing. I was working with a limited amount so I was hoping that possibly this method of administration would compensate a bit for the mild dose I was taken. Subsequent oral experiences will let me know further but based on other reports I think this route did boost the potency, although I think trimmed down the length a bit.

The trip: I dont remember anything particularly notable about the comeup but it was much easier than I find mushrooms to be and being that there is a very similar chemical structure to psilocybin and similar subjective effects I will probably mention mushrooms a few times. I felt it come on and decided to shower. I felt out of place in the bathroom for a second and there were some strange ominous vibes running through the room. Not scary really but it felt like Halloween a little bit like strange presence of death lie in there. After the shower I ventured outside and the visuals became wavy and more lush. I felt the experience was completely cerebral as opposed to mushrooms which I feel throughout the entire body. I appreciated nature aesthetically but I wasn't caught up in any sense of cosmic oneness and feeling of being very small in the world like with shrooms. The head space was MUCH clearer than mushrooms which I enjoyed and no nausea either. I did notice a few moments of confusion but it seemed more as a dissonance in thought a la acid' opposed to the murky mind mushrooms often give.

I went back to my room and visuals began to pick up. I saw 2 spinning circular mandalas that look like they should be on the floor of a religious cathedral rotating in sychronicity on the ceiling. I looked to my wall right next to my bed which appeared stone like. I can't distinctly recall any cev's but it was pleasant lying with eyes closed. I felt at ease and majestic is the word I would use for this substance. I didn't feel fused to objects like I do on shrooms or nor did my body feel dysmorphic (no huge feet or hands) but I still felt fully engrossed in the experience.

I played guitar for awhile and enjoyed playing alot. I came up with new soloing techniques and improvised over a few eric Clapton songs. Because of the clear head I was able to maintain strong positivity throughout playing, shrooms often frustrate me when playing and I only play the most basic of songs on them now.

I enjoyed some shpongle , went back outside and had many various introspective thoughts and enjoyed a quality upbeat psychedelic. I would not classify what I had as a recreational trip but after the previous days events it was not to hectic and was a very enjoyable day.


The peak lasted about 3 1/2 hrs and then another couple hours til back to baseline.

Yes the body trip of shrooms is quite unique and quite pleasureable and trippy at times.

I have no doubts at higher doses this could be a quite profound experience but I think I may like moderate doses alot with this one for functional purposes. I had some slight short term attention impairment with the guitar but I played through the mistakes soloing and I think I can apply that to sober playing more often.

I also had this genius idea of getting some advil from the hotel down the street for my headache, which I apparently couldn't think of sober LOL!
The headache was non drug related...

 

Quite the analytical abyss for an activity called getting high.

i'd LOVE to go for about 45mg oral this time.. and i've still yet to combine it with 2c-b

 

Awesome! I'm glad you liked it overall. Can't wait to hear from you after a higher dose and a different ROA. It only gets better the higher the dose.

And I know exactly what you mean by ominous and feeling like Halloween, but not necessarily scary. I get something similar more or less on the comeup as well. Very interesting.

 

4-aco-Dmt/2c-b combo sounds like a combo. You have any ideas for dosages of each yet? order and timing for them?

I personally was quite let down with this combo why my best friend was blown the fuck away. our doses were 35 mg 4aco and 25 mg 2cb. I think I just had too high of hopes for it coming off the t7 but I am definately gonig to take another stab at it. I thought it was going to be comparable to the mush+mescaline combo but wasn't imo. my best friend said he'd never tripped that hard in his life besides deem but he didn't get the fullest out of the t7.

there was one point in the trip though where everything in my view lookes like it had plastic wrapped and an emboss type effect. it didn't even look like th real world. but taht quickly faded within a minute or so. I still recommend people with access to both of these to try them in combination as ymmv because me and my best friends did greatly.

 

you took the combo right after you were coming off of 2ct7? No wonder you didn't feel anything, as you obviously know there's cross tolerance issues with psychedelics.

What I meant to say was it was my first real psychadelic trip since the 2ct7 experience. I ate some molly a couple times and had a 2cb molly combo in between the t7 and 4aco/2cb combo but molly isn't very psychadelic imo.

4aco/2cb was psychadelic no doubt just not mush+mescal psychadelic like I thought it would be. could have been a few factors though so that's why I wanna try it again.

I drank a pot of coffee, lol. OMG, I AM TOTALLY ALREADY PEAKING MY ASS OFF, BYE-BYES!!!
Oh yeah, and this morning around 7-ishAMI did a cold-water extraction off of 20 extra strength hydrocodone tablets, so that makes around what, 150 mg in the water after the APAP was removed, followed by (I think, since I'm tripping balls right now and was on the nod then) 24 mg hydromorphone (insufflated)...

Why? Because I love Adderall, and actually prefer methylphenidate

Gonna take another bumb of 4-AcO-DMT!!! Maybe also another snort of 2C-I... this is WAYYYY different, and not in a bad way, just way different from a couple of 2C-E + 4-AcO-DET experiences!!!

 

I had pretty much the same feeling in my bathroom on mushrooms. I felt like there was something to be figured out. Then I remembered that an old lady lived in my house before me. I really don't know if she died in the house but if she did, I'm guessing it was the bathroom.

 

As far as a home is concerned, Bathrooms always seem to be the room that bring a different sort of energy than the rest of the home on any psychedelic for me. I dont know if its because of the often tight personal space it is or what, the tone of trips always seem to change in the bathroom. I've never gone into an attic type area while tripping but I imagine that would take on a fairly interesting quality as well.

Quick question for you? Did you consider a DMT hit or two during the trip?

i have found that in my limited experience, DMT hits during a high-dose mushroom trip can take things to a whole new, frankly, insane and cacaphanous level. Would love to compare notes.

please please please do tell us how this is. mush+dmt is amazing and I'm sure 4-aco would be just as amazing.

 

I did take 1 light hit of dmt while on the 4 aco dmt but not enough to propel me further out. It just felt like I went back to peak actually and right after that is when I put on shpongle. Like I said at the beginning I just had my heaviest dmt experience the previous day and this 4-aco-dmt trip was completely enjoyable and satisfying to me. Proper dose of Dmt at the peak will be something I possibly explore in the future but I'm not out to make every psychedelic experience the most intense and I was playing guitar and having many worthwhile realizations, I was completely content with where I was at.

 

Didn't mean to be pushy. Like real cats, i have a formidable curiosity. Your report was awesome and i respect what you said - i feel the same way. i sometimes like to go for the super-intense ones, but other times, it's nice to just get a bit euphoric, opened up and psychedelicized. i am not artistic, but i do write and sometimes this space opens up into the most delightful and hilarious (prolific too) writing spaces for me.

But, being curious, i did have to ask. i doubt i will do it myself once my RC arrives. i wasn't kidding when i wrote insane and cacaphonous (for myself taking DMT hits while on high dose 'shroom trip) and that keeps me away. Not a big fan of what i consider a "mind fuck" or "voices in the head." But, always wanting to compare notes with other psychonauts.
