malt extract with passed expiry date

So this guy wants to sell me malt extract agar for half of the price. i think its a month passed the expiry date. Is it ok if i buy it or its no good?

 

I would skip on that and get some karo syrup or some honey for liquid cultures.

 

I'd say it'd probably work. How much is he asking?

 

something round 15$ I know that thats a lot but he and another guy and no one else sells the thing here 2 dealers for the whole state

 

Just get some online. It's cheap.
