Male or Female

Is there a way to tell if a plant is male or female, without losing half the grow season?:daisy:

 

cut off a tip and put it in water.....put the tip in 12/12 till it sexes

or

take a paper bag and bag part of a branch for 12 hours[twice]

first one works better


make sure you have alternating nodes before you try this

 

Thanks ROLLING, not sure what nodes are, am growing outside, but tip in water is due able, thnx!

 

Watch for pre-flowers......most will show 4-6 weeks after sprouting from seed

 

alternating nodes....the little branches onthe main stem grow together on a young plant...one on each side and joining the stem at the same pace.....after several weeks the branches will alternate....first one side and then slightly higher up another will grow...
