making mushroom moonshine??

ok so sitting on the porch i came up with a idea. making some moonshine with mushrooms like maybe making mushroom tea and ferminting it or something, not sure how we will do it but it is a quest i am about to embark on hehe! i have decided to call this experiment project psychadelic moonshine !!

Would be easier and cheaper t make morning glory moonshine. Would probably taste a little better too.

 

I dont know if this is possible because in order to distill something you have to heat it and higher temperatures are psilocybins worst enemy.

 

You could make the moonshine and then use it to extract the psylocibin, or LSA, or LSD, whatever. I son't know if Psylocibin and other psychoactives in shrooms are soluble in alcohol. I do use this method for LSA though.

 

it's possible i know someone who did it, just buy 100 proof vodka and soak the mushrooms in it for like 5-7 days (the longer the better) and then do one shot and that should do it. DONT HEAT IT!!!!

 

Just make magic mushroom tea...

 

That just sounds gross. Mushrooms taste nasty, and moonshine....I'll just have to leave that one alone. Why would you want to mix the two?

Well I don't think fungus has much sugar to make alcohol from. I think if you'd ferment it you would just have some really gross ass rotten mushrooms.

 

something that IS good though is to soak your ground up X grams of mushrooms in a couple of shots of coconut rum overnight (not the 21% ABV parrots bay type stuff though...something like Bacardi Coco works great) and it will turn a very deep blue. strain out all the mushroom pulp and your mushrum is ready to drink. its good to add to a bit of water and ice...makes a sapphire blue coconut flavored psychedelic potion which will get you slightly tipsy, too...

why not make blue honey

take a bunch of mushrooms, dry them good
then a jar of honey, put the mushrooms in the honey
put the jar in dark and cool place for 2 weeks, the mushrooms should turn the honey blue

then you have psychedlic honey.

 

oh, btw if you try the mushrum thing, don't drink too very much of it. both mushrooms and alcohol tend to make people sick on their own anyway; together in excess it could be disasterously unpleasant...

 

I wouldn't do it. Alcohol tends to numb the mind, which is exactly the opposite of what you're trying to do with mushrooms. I haven't tried it personally, but have heard that it's a horrible combination, and would imagine that to be true. Just eat the shrooms.

But i wonder if you could make mushroom tea, but make it more like you would hot chocolate. Then you would have the chocolate as an maoi that would intensify the trip and the good ole tea method

 

LOL, is it so odd? I like the name, it sounds good, but it tastes like shit. I mean, I'm sure there might be some good moonshine out there, but so far i've yet to come upon it.

Another name for it is mountain dew, and they even named a soft drink after it. Now I find that to be very odd.
