Im not trying to make acid I jsut want everyone to know that I am not a chemist. I was jsut wondering if someone can explain the process to me. No real reason i was just curious.

its extremely complicated process so i hear.

but i heard you can make LSA (a cousin of lsd) from morining glory seeds

but ive got no idea bout acid

You are likely going to get sarcastic responses, because this question is asked a zillion times in this forum by young teenagers. Truth is, if anyone here knew how to make acid they'd be among the top chemists in the country, if not in the world. LSD is one of the hardest chemicals to make, and taking a course or two of chemistry is not enough. You must be extremely talented and knowledgeable. And even if you had the experience and knowledge to make it, you would still need to obtain the chemical precursors to derive LSD, which is extremely difficult due to government regulation and their monitoring of these precursors.

To make LSD you either need a genius IQ or a thirst for knowledge on the subject of chemistry that pretty much rules out you'd be posting in a forum giving tips to teenagers you never met and are not likely to encounter ever in real life. Chances are, all of those stories you might hear of so and so who knows a chemist are BS. People like to claim they know the chemist, but there may be at most only a dozen cooks in the whole world. That's how hard it is to make LSD.

yea DEA says (which idk if its true or not, cause well, its the DEA) there are only maybe only 10-15 chemists who make all the 'cid in the US...

thats the problem, to make LSD youd have to be a genius, a chemist, a tripper, have sources to highly illegal substances, and have the ambition to make loads of lsd instead of focusing on getting a high paying chemist job... that equals out to very few people

Think about it - there's a reason why there have only been two busts of LSD labs in the past decade. Actually, probably almost two decades. LSD cooks and distributers are notorious for abiding by the number one rule of never ratting out others.

I do know someone who given ideal situations actually could make it. Maybe not on the first try, but he certainly could do it. He appreciates how hard it is, and has a genuine interest in it purely from a chemistry standpoint. He wants to do it because it's the hardest process he's heard of that has a purpose.

Google it - if you understand the first sentence of any detailed proceedure, then you might be one of the few. Chances are you won't though.

You wouldn't necessarily have to make large quantities though, and actually, you wouldn't want to, especially if it were your first time making it. If you made a large batch your first time, if you fucked up at all, you'd destroy a larger amount of chemicals and set yourself back farther.

Lysergic acid is the basis for which LSD is made.
It is derived from ergotamine alkaloids that come from ergot a type of fungus that grows on the end of wheat plants
to synthesize lysergic acid into lsd you need some very hard to obtain chemicals such as anhydrous hydrazine, diethylamine, sodium nitrate, etc etc
but if u really want a guide heres the best one i've found

there exists at least one recently written book (1999) that explains the entire process which is understandable even if you're not a chemist. A chemist could understand it easily and could definitely make it from these directions, if he could obtain the chemicals without getting questioned by the DEA or FBI.

there should be a sticky about making acid. Its kind of always the same lecture when someone comes out with this q.

This is what happens during a LSD synth

You see that the -COOH group reacts with the -NH2 group. This reaction is called condensation. The bond that has formed is called a Peptide bond.

    Now look @ the LSA

You see the -COOH group on top of the molecule. This should react with an -NH2 group. In the case of LSD with Diethylamine

Look on the spot where their first was that -COOH group

This synthesis is done these days by Peptide coupling agents. Chemicals that catalyse this reaction so you get great yields in a fast and clean and safe way.

Oh yeah. Don't use that synth posted before with the Hydrazine and stuff. It's a stupid bumbass old, outdated and dangerous synth.
