The term marijuana comes from the rascist term for mexican males. Back in the 1800's when cannabis was widespread alot of slang terms were invented. Juan being a common mexican name, it was incorporated. Those who were high on this plant seemed constantly happy or merry. Thus the nicknames given to them by the white man...MERRY JUANS. Well, their product had to have a name too, giving birth to the term "marijuana".

 

The name "Strawberry" is derived from the way the plant actually grows. It is said that to grow a strawberry plant, you must bury a piece of straw or hay, which after much watering and care, will a strawberry plant come to life.
