lol. I dont even see where it should go.. this is all fucked up.. all the sub forums for books and magizines, comics should be in one place.
I love DC but I'm still not 100% sure about this new 52. I've only dropped about 4, 5 titles so far -- but there's a large amount that are just okay. The moral ambiguity they've added is my real problem. All the death and killing going on -- it's just too much. It's poorly done and there's a lot of situations where it just doesn't make sense. The line was too sharply drawn between hero and villain before; but now, it almost seems to be "eh, well, are they trying to do good?"
I actually really like "the new 52" stuff and i been a DC reader for like 25 years...but they did pissed me off hardcore when they just recently announced the cancelation of Justice League International when there was no real reason for it to be canceld..they better have something to make up for it that pleases me big time.
Justice League International has been extremely uneven so far. But I loved the 'bombing'-aftermath issue. One of my real problems with DC's handling of this all, the only thing that I feel insulted by, is that there were a lot of great story lines that they didn't even really finish. Booster Gold was building up; Streets of Gotham and Red Robin were some of the best works in the Batuniverse, ever, and both heavily filled with foreshadowing. And Brightest Day was a game-changer; and some great stories for the DC U were just thrown out. But there is a lot of great talent involved in the new-52; and I think the addition of the Wildstorm character's could lead to something pretty cool. Though Green Lantern Corps and New Guardians are kind've uneven in quality; what they are building up to in the Green Lantern titles is going to be awesome. Can't wait to see the Third Army. What do you like about the new 52?
The industry or the quality? The second's damned wrong -- but the first is kinda too. There was a huge boom in the 80s, and popularity started waning in the 90s, probably hitting new lows just a few years ago; but all the comic book adaptations are bringing business back. And DC especially has had a huge readership boost lately.
I am also a big fan of this characters and I would love to see some of their collections and compilations as well. ____________________ Outdoor Fitness equipment
I love mainstream comics, I am a HUGE comics fan! I love Marvel and DC, maybe Marvel a little more? X-Men, Star Wars Legacy, Hellblazer, Preacher, Y The Last Man, The Authority. Love them! Also Batman, Birds of Prey, some Superman too!
If Image is considered one of the major publisher, then im real big into East of West at the moment. I kept myself to only reading issue #6 twice so i can still sense the freshness of the story when i get #7.
