It was a little wood along a footpath just up from Buckland-In-The-Moor. There was a lovely line of beech trees further down as well.
Nah, just went camping there at Easter. It would be a beautiful place to live though, I am tempted by living in the country. I'm in Brighton at the moment, but thinking about moving if a ranger's job came up elsewhere.
i'd love a rangers job. i used to live in a barn conversion just d0wn the road from haytor rocks. it was beautiful and i loved living there. i think these days the coast has more appeal though. but never citys.
beautiful place... no wonder you are thinking about living near a place like that Brightons nice though...
God gave the song... The Lord said in His word if we stayed focused fixed on God . He will inturn keep us in perfect peace. Perfect is the best and peace like the forest and the trees in daytime is great!! Peace, Peace!!]
that wouldn't be wistmans wood with all the stunted oaks, it doesn't look as if it is, now that is another very special magical place. nice photo by the way. :2thumbsup: http://www.legendarydartmoor.co.uk/wistman.htm
this is my magic forest. Menhirs are over 6000 years old when this was a neolithic site made up of thousands of crafted stones, some as big as houses and some of the relatively undisturbed stones are still active, full of miracles.
For some reason I just saw this photo. Looks cool as fuck! I love areas that I know well and just go and chill, look for beasties, take in the quiet etc.etc.
In an ever changing landscape - these area of natural serenity are to be experienced, cherished and, dare one say - Protected
