I used to think it was lame, and that I'd rather die than be caught playing it. But then I learned how to play when my husband and I were dating. Mostly to impress him, I admit. Now I think it's really fun!
man, I'd be terrified to start playing one of those types of games. It'd be so fun. I wouldn't get anything else done.
I'm not really sure what that particular game is. But a lot of people like it. Which means it has to be kind of fun.
Basically you're a sorcerer/wizard and the cards represent your mana, spells, and summonable creatures. I should soooooooooooooo make fun of you for all the years that you laughed at me and Sep.
It sounds soooo dorky to explain it, but it's really no worse than any other card game(rummy, spades, etc) and it gives 10x the variety.
nerd alert! seriously. I'm a computer nerd and I used to play d&d, but magic: the gathering is the lowest of the low. all nerds (except m:tg ones) agree.
It's really not so bad. It's something to do when the children go to bed and I don't have a babysitter. Plus, I love whipping out Akroma, angel of wrath and dominating! Woot!
Bring out your Legendary Poseidons Shield of Protection +5, for I will attack you with my Charmed Ninja Katana +8!
Oh magic cards? I played it once and found it pretty dull. I did enjoy buying mass amounts of the cards and selling them to people 100x the price i paid.
ive been playing off and on for eight years. mostly off. ever since my kickass deck got stolen i kinda lost interest. plus nobody i know knows how to play
ah well, fair enough. but you might find yourself on the receiving end of a holy avenger +5 if you say something like that to the wrong nerd!
