Only took 4 years from the first trip I planned. Anyway, Enraged Angel and I made it safe. We only almost killed each other three, maybe four times max. Not with our driving. By strangling each other. What's new with you?
little ever changes here... what's in seattle? i've seen you guys discussing the move for a while now, but nobody ever mentioned the reason for going that i've noticed.
you should check out vashon island sometime for dinner at gusto girls if you have some cash to spare. my best friend used to cook there, they have some great food. but there's no shortage of good food out there, so it might not truly be worth the trip on the ferry and the money you gotta spend anyway, enjoy seattle. i love it out there. great herb, too
My dad lives here, pretty much. Offered us a helping hand for a fresh start. No gas money my man. We started with $450 for gas. I think we spent $420+. As it stands half the money is gone from the account and it's only registering 3 out of 9 gas stops! So we might've over charged even... Too many kids in the car to find space or privacy. Bite of Seattle is coming up this weekend. Maybe they'll be running a booth. Maybe not. I've lived here before for about 7 years and used to come out here yearly during the summer. Looks like a lot has changed since my last visit though('03 I think), so I'll have to scope it. Will definitely check that spot out though once we get settled and start getting out a bit. Safe, yes. Sound.... not so much. I'm kidding, but it was a trying trip for certain. Not a fan of the place? It's a bit gloomy here a lot, but I love the weather. It trumps Indiana, without a doubt. :hat:
That's odd. From what I read, you thought I should make a solo trip out here and not drag my "booty" with me... But maybe my reading comprehension skills aren't what they used to be. . . I digress.... Where do you live now?
Yeah, I can imagine, what with the trip in general and three kids in tow. If they're anything like mine on long car rides, they're tormenting one another and shouting things like "he hit me!" "she touched my arm!' "he's looking at me!" "she kicked me!" and oh my goodness "Mo-om! He keeps smiling at me!!!" You have my sympathy.
I lived there for a few years. I agree in Summer for about 4 months, the weather in Seattle is paradise on earth. The rest of the year...not so much. If you have lived there before and have family there, you will be set. As for me gridlock traffic and commuting almost drove me crazy. I lived in Kirkland and Bellview. That is what the world needs...5 mph traffic on the highway with everyone chocked to the gills on espresso. But as you are not a newcomer you will not go through what others have to do to adjust. There is a fortune to be made there. I imagine you will do well.
We lucked out and the biggest problem we had was a mix up with McD's toys when two of them had the same and one came up missing. That and the baby let out one single scream that lasted 45 minutes towards the end of the first night(or at least it seemed like it would be that way). Next time we'll liquidate EVERYTHING and fly though. In my quest to save money, and due to my utter hatred of traffic, we will be bussing our way around. We've actually landed in Federal Way, since you're a little more familiar with the surrounding area. And I'm not 100% yet, but I have a job interview for good money within a few blocks. Also with my dad and his friends talents and tech(full wood shop, engraving laser, electrician skill set, and carpenter skill set) I think you are right about the money part. Thanks for the vote of confidence though. It's really appreciated.
I have missed it. Ivars has always been one of my favorite seafood places..... The Asian cuisine here isn't too shabby either from what I remember.
i for one, think its fantastic that you and ER were able to overcome your obstacles, it says a lot about both of you and your devotion to one another... fuck the naysayers, they just be jealous haters... man my grammar is not what it used to be
