hahaha, mine has no macaroni or cheese! i've always been a freak among freaks steam a head of diced cauliflower in another pot, mix together some nut milk (one part nuts to 4 parts water in a blender for 5 to 10 minutes), nutritional yeast and olive oil.. heat gently til it thickens yummMMMMmmm, soooo good! ps, dairy cheese makes me want to gag
some noodles, usually rotelle can of stewed tomatoes bunch of shredded sharp chedder mix the first two ingredients and most the cheese together in a baking dish Top with remaining cheese Bake at 350 until top layer cheese is crispy slightly browned I sometimes top with pepperoni or bacon slices before baking, MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM yummy
can't stand sharp chedder, or that orange colored powdered stuff that comes in the mac and cheese box that i don't know why my wife buys that crap but she says she likes it. favorite thing to do with it is add a can of tuna or chop in a bunch of shrooms and maybe a little green onion. now noodles without the powdered chedder suace crap, in a bulion broth, add shredded or chopped jack or equivelant, almost any 'renetless' cheese, along with maybe again the shrooms for sure, a little lemon squizinz, green onions, meat like burger or tuna optional, now that's good stuff, and more or less my natural staple belly ballast for me. =^^= .../\...
My brother used to do what he'd labeled poor man's lasagne. Box mac n cheese, ground beef, can diced tomatoes all heated up and mixed together. Give me diced tomato, & ground beef, & I can definetly come up with something better than that, but it made him happy.
I made some wonderful hommade stuff with butter and breadcrumbs on the top and the kids were grossed out.
this is mine...I love mac and cheese...even out of the box, but here is my favorite recipie when it's raining or I have lots of time on my hands... 2 pounds small red or golden beets, 1 garlic clove, minced 1/4 cup fresh orange juice 2 tablespoons olive oil 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander Coarse salt and ground pepper 1 pound gemelli or other short tubular pasta 6 ounces blue cheese, crumbled (1 cup) 1. Preheat oven to 400°. Place beets in a 9-by-13-inch baking dish; add 1/2 cup water. Seal dish tightly with foil. Bake beets until tender when pierced with the tip of a sharp paring knife, 45 minutes to 1 hour. Let cool 10 minutes. Using a paper towel, rub off skins. Slice beets into wedges. 2. In a large bowl, toss beets with garlic, orange juice, oil, and coriander; season with salt and pepper. 3. Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente, according to package instructions. Drain pasta, reserving 1 cup of cooking water. Return the pasta to the pot; toss with half of the blue cheese and enough reserved pasta water to coat pasta. Season with salt and pepper. 4. Divide the pasta mixture among plates; top with beets and remaining blue cheese. Serve immediately. I take 1 box of Kraft Mac n Cheese, make it as instructed, but always add a bit extra shredded cheese, a bit of garlic, and some black pepper.... tasty!
