Does any one have recomendations for helping clear the lungs of several years of smoking? I quit smoking about 6 months ago, its great but I find that I have exercised induced asthma and my sputum is very discoloured with tar. I am currently on emphasemol, which is a herbal preperation that "Contains Elecampane, Ginger, Lobelia, Manuka, Pine resin, Camphor and 15 other nutrient ingredients." So far it may have loosened up the sputum a bit but the jury is still out on it. I also take asthma medication, as well as hay fever medications. Both of these definitly help but I would much rather not use them. I try to keep my fluids up, and I have started getting more exercise but I find it pretty painful even in modest amounts
I've found cannabis to eliminate my asthma. Might just be me, but it's true. Clearing tar though...not sure if there is a way Hope someone can be more helpful
I find smoking in general eliminates asthma. But as for cannabis I get too paranoid on it...way too paranoid
I had a special kind of tea my friend made for me, it tasted like shit but it was specially meant to clean out your lungs really well. It tasted bad because there was like crazy bacteria in it. Sorry i don't know what its called but my lungs felt new after that. I had been a hardcore weed smoker.
cannabis can help some people with asthma but not all, its also an expectorant, it cleans the lungs... u could also try Mullein tea, its good for respiratory problems, its also good for when u have a cold. Mullein grows all over, im sure if ur in the right spot u can pick some urself and make a tea of the dried leaves and flowers.
Apple cider vinegar as a shot or mix a little with koolaide will clear up the sputum. There is an herbal smoke that is supposed to help with cleansing your lungs. I can't remember the name but look for a site that sells oni temple smoke and you should find it there.
I take ACV most days, it helps some what for a few things... That herbal smoke is an interesting idea indeed, how else can u really get an active ingredient in there
http://www.thesacredspirit.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=40_117&products_id=2572 Yay, it contains mullein too, i have some mullein oil somewhere too...and i had one tea which after I thought it kinda tasted like semen i haven't really tried again. think it was elderflower
hhhhhhmmmm have you never stopped and realised what your lungs are used for and are used to everyday? AIR! it's a basic element of this planet and just like all the others it cleans and revitalises. Do some research on deep-breathing exercises it wont just help your lungs but it will help your wholebody and mind. Most people o a daily basis only use a third of their lungs, by doing deep breathing exercises every morning you filter fresh air through your lungs and with time they will be as good as new. Well maybe not that good but close. It is also recommended to drink approx 2-3 litres of water when you wake up, it helps cleanse yourself from the inside, with time you will have more energy as well. It is the natural way and the best! Good luck! S.x
WOOOoh Hi, ok yeah I already deep breath, perhaps too rapidly but the breath is deep. It helps a bit, water is something i need to make sure i get enough of, 2-3L just in the morning? that sounds borderline to me, im prob just thinking of ppl OD'ing on mdma by drinking too much water. But i prob drink 2-3L for the entire day. I'll add it up... 2glasses in the morning thats ~400mL 2 cups of coffee over a day, dispite what ppl say its still liquid 400mL 1 cup of tea, another 200mL more cups of water, perhaps 4 across the day, 2 per meal...maybe 5. thats 1L so definitly 2L of beverages, plus I tend to eat fresh food and that contributes alot of water..idk it's prob not enough but my drainage is pretty good these days
Water and coffee/tea is completely different. Your body needs water, and although you might get some water out of the coffee and tea it really doesn't help your hydration very much.
I've been told that caffinated water not being water is a bit of a myth. water is water, caffiene stimulates urine production, which is a good thing for detoxing any way, before water was safe to drink for the masses...in cityt life at least, in europe we drank alcoholic water, in asia it was boiled tea. This is how you made potable water and its what they lived off. So to say tea != hydration ignores that most of civilisation uses tea to hydrate, among other culinary and medicinal effects
Sure all liquids hydrate some are just better than others. Alcohol, tea and coffee have a diuretic effect in other words even though they're liquids the liquid passes through you quicker and can also draw on your bodies reserve to aid in it being flushed out. A hang-over is basically dehydration, drinking 2L of water before drinking and a glass or two before bed will prevent a hangover. Personally I don't include any other form of liquid as part of my daily water intake, not even high water content like fruit and veg. But yeah everyone's different. I unfortunately have a really slow metabolism which means I have to analyse everything I eat/drink, because of it I eat a higher amount of tailor-made cereal which includes: sesame seeds, flax seeds, wheatgerm, pumpkin/sunflower seeds, paw paw, amaranth, psyllium, shredded coconut..etc etc This helps me to keep everything moving while providing a lot of necessary nutrients
marijuana does help with asthma. medications are given for asthma. just get it in edibles. it'd be a win-win
I know something my mama taught me to clean sinuses.... its very old school tho. You cook up camomile (dried out flowers) in a big pot, then, while its still steaming, put a big blanket over your head while you are leaning above the pot, and breath deep breaths..... the steam with camomile will help you get rid of a lot of mucous. what I did with my newborn, I boiled water and put it in a bucket with the whole package of salt, especialy iodized, it really helped her breathe better. just make sure you keep it in the room with closed doors. also, old school habit, try to open your windows at your house for 15-20 mins everyday, to let fresh air in. I am a smoker, and did this while I had my place, and never get headaches.
