Luck

So do you guys belief in luck or do u just kind of view it as an conception that is pulled over statistical anomaly? But really there’s only our I guess surprise do to witnessing such a diversion from the past patterns good or bad its seems illogical at first that is and there for supernatural and unpredictable but this only brings focus upon such things from our minds eye, are we somehow connected to the random side of life in a fundamental way even influencing the chaos after all the common denominator is the point in space which is I and all that… in the end the only coherent thing that we may do is label an experience with positive or negative outcome relative to I and its expectations trying to assign a pattern to the parts of life that do not have a smooth continuous existence by themselves in another words luck is a spike and we personally give it meaning.


Now some spikes in data may be predicted with various degrees of accuracy mainly the better understanding we have of the system and its parts the better chance we have of interpreting the data in such a way that it would be an adequate reflection of the future. So why would anyone repeat the same mistakes in life even more so as we age after all we all have brains and this organ’s function really is manly to foresee the future... So consciously or subC someone may place oneself in a position of chance that is beneficial in a long run while another may place oneself in a disadvantageous positions over and over again this is self shaping image of being which can be viewed from the outside as one being unproportionally lucky and the other unlucky which all come down to, I belief a sense of worth that is assigned to oneself do to positive or negative reinforcement that was given by someone ells or few spikes in a row, I is merely the carrier of the torch.


So the conclusion there are men that are born lucky and there are some who are born unlucky from the stand point of negative or positive share of experienced outcomes yet by definition both parties are getting what they wished for. Eg a self loathing gambler that looks for bad beats because of the need to confirm bad luck in life due to low self worth so perhaps this sense of influence over matters of luck due to the frame of mind is justified but for shame to those who spread the rumors of bad beats for these are seeds lol sorry played poker tonight and was wondering how fish function and I on tilt, guess this is more related to poker then philosophy but still decisions made in poker I think are pretty accurate reflection of the decisions a person makes in life…

I do believe luck it just happened to me 30 minutes ago.
now some mat perceive this as bad luck as I did at first but over time it became apparent to me it was a lucky thing to happen.
The event was that I mistakenly washed my jacket which contained a card I needed to pick up my gun from the police station.
The truth is I should not own a gun, I have tried to kill myself four times with a gun and if I were to claim my gun I most likely would keep it and try again instead of pawning it.

So yes I believe in luck.

 

More likely than luck, you are just not good at killing yourself.

I feel u man I have a soft spot for suicide myself there is something poetic about a last free act of the will to be in complete destruction of itself and the world. I myself have set my sights on height there is no real turning back once the decision is made I was contemplating it once and I still do sometimes it was not an attempt there was no ledge involved but still I got so clause to flipping the mental switch to complete destruction that I kind of felt liberated for some time afterwards. I don’t know maybe it’s a true remainder that I am a free agent not bound by much. Maybe that’s true for u to, u may just be looking for that liberation minus the destruction of the world only the destruction of ur ego whatever the case maybe this is nothing to do with luck me thinks there are hidden mental factors in ur outcomes.

luck, fate, chance, however it is viewed or named, is just a way of saying we are not individually in complete control of everything that affects us at all times.
it doesn't mean that we have none either.

we live in a stitistical universe. that is the reality. not a hierarchal one, and not a linear one either.

so the degree of control we have, varies randomly from one moment to the next.
though in different isoltated contexts, the delta may be greater or less, and at a different median.

at any rate, it is equally rare for it to approach either zero or 100%. variation between 20% and 80% is common though, and to be expected.

 

Luck, in my opinion doesn't exist.Every outcome has a reason for that outcome. The reason may be unknown therefore it appears to be lucky or unlucky.
