I once realized I was dreaming, and in this dream I knew that there was a certain 'script' telling me to jump off the window of a tall building. I was no longer scared, having realized it was just a dream. So I jumped, feeling completely relaxed. I was happy to do this, as I was curious to see how it was like to do such a thing. Nothing would hurt me, I knew this. I didn't even crash, the scene moved to another one in my dream...

Yeah i just had one this morning. I woke myself up from it about an hour ago! In the dream i met this guy i went to middle school with and he said i needed to come hang out with him. me and my mom were on vacation and i asked her if it was ok and she said yea go ahead. so i went with him and we sat on the top of this little slide in a playground and started talking. but by this time he had turned into the little kid version of himself. and i said "wait, how come you're a little kid?" and he said, "because this is a dream. you're dreaming." by that time his eyes had gotten like blood red and his teeth were all yellow. but he didnt look evil or anything, not scary, just like, fucked up or sick or something. and then i asked him if he knew what would happen in the future and he said yes. but i wanted to make sure this was really happening, that i was really there, and conscious, yet dreaming. so i looked at the scars on my arm and they were there like in real life. i was extatic that this whole thing was happening. and i said, "YES! so there IS life in dreams!" and then this old guy was walking by and i said, "HAHA YOU SUCK DREAM PERSON!!" and he just looked at me like i was crazy. but then i thought to myself, 'so this is what it's going to be like after i die.' so i said to the little boy 'wait, i wanna make sure i'm not deead. and i told the little boy i was going to wake myself up. and i did.

    odd.

last night I realized I was dreaming. I had a dream that I was downtown, but since I never write my dreams down, I dont know what it was that made me realize I was dreaming.

I mean I knew I was dreaming, so I got excited that I was finally lucid and I wanted to fly. So I looked down at my feet and tried really hard, but I couldn't do it. So then I got pissed off, punched these two guys in the face, and woke myself up.

lol of course you can! how did you think people go lucid?

Im not in the best position to teach another, but I could direct you to a site.

Just remember, you aren't going to learn how to do this "over night"

lol, geez a pun, im so horrible...

but seriously though, be prepared to actually work towards achieving a goal, and remember...DONT GET DISCOURAGED!!!

    (1000th post!! woot woot!)

I found this wikipedia page that gives techniques on how to induce it.

    http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Lucid_Dreaming:_Induction_Techniques#WILD

I tried it awhile back, and it started to work - but I dont think I was prepared for it, I suppose my body/mind knew this, or something.. So in turn it didnt fully work, but if any of you are 'prepared' for it then yeah sure give it a try. Interesting stuff, was a little too much for me at the time, though. Maybe some other time =]

I sometimes get 'stuck' in my dreams. I believe this is Lucid Dreaming... I will 'wake up', everything will look normal or so it seems. I will be wherever I fell asleep and I will get out of bed and go about my business as normal but then something will strike me as being very very weird. Like not being able to turn on/off a light or the dimension of a room (being smaller/larger than it should be) and I will realize I am still asleep. I usually panic because I become aware that I can feel my body laying, breathing, ect and I can hear everything going on around me but I cannot get myself to wake up. I try moving my body... nothing.... I try slapping myself... nothing. I find that going 'back to sleep' will finally wake me up. Usually when I wake up I am extremely terrified and for hours wonder if I am still trapped. Even though it happens from time to time I can't control the fear that consumes me when it happens.
