Does anyone have any experience with this?
I think it has taken me a few months to be able to reach a lucid state while dreaming, but everytime it happens I always wake up within a few minutes of me actually realizing it. I'd have to say it has happened close to 10 times, and I don't have a clue on how I can stop it. Has anyone had a similar problem, or have any suggestions?

to increase dream awareness after becoming lucid, take time to observe your dream world, by glancing shortly at all the objects present. it helps to first notice your hands...then check out your surroundings for a moment then back to your hands to continually remind yourself of your lucid state. staring too long at particular objects will either wake you up or send you back into the oblivious dream state if you havent the energy for it. in time as your dream awareness becomes stronger this will no longer be nessesary.

As an experiment in lucid dreaming, and within the context of the Buddhism threads, http://www.hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1833370#post1833370 , and http://www.hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=120283 , which discussed God, Karma, Yoga, Miracles and power, along with a prophetic dream of my soon meeting a woman who will tempt me to partake of drugs and sexual deviance, last night was one continuous lucid dream, where I was able to resume the lucid dream even after getting up twice. (I didn't "push it" by drinking water, though. Such a habit tends to distrupt the dream state.)

As I fell asleep and entered the dream state I became aware that I was dreaming. So instead of letting the dream take its natural course I decided to fly out of the dream. My one consternation was that I was not able to fly as fast and quickly as I would like.

There were many tornadoes in my dream and I knew that it would be work related, the usual power plays which disrupt many people's lives and the usual Natural calamities and catastrophes. I was able to avoid them at will.

Moving unto the sexual realm, I was able to part take of the usual sexual deviance at will. "Getting tired" of it I decided to move onto the power aspect, where I was able to control Fate, Destiny and Nature. Like the sexual portion of the dream I became tired of Power and decided not to affect evil, that I have an intrinsic ability to choose whether to be good or evil. I therefore saw the futility of doing evil, of causing suffering to others; I understood and transcended Power, whether sexual or political.

There was the "usual" baffling dream symbolism, but I asked myself the meaning of the dream symbol and I answered what it meant.

So, yes; one can induce lucid dreaming at will, (Well, at least I can,) and one is presented with the same moral dilemmas as in the wake-ful state, whether one should have license to do whatsoever one chooses without responsibility or to do good or evil.
