LSD Overdose--Thinks He's A Glass Of Water

So one of my teachers knows someone who used to sell acid. He was a badass... he got kicked out of every school and had to go to a special school that accepts the worst of the worst trouble-makers. So one day this jackass was selling his acid out fron of his school. He had about about 100 hits on him. So then it started to rain... hard. The tabs got wet and soaked through his clothes and it was absorbed through his skin. So now he's in a mental hospital and he thinks he's a glass of water. If you shake him he gets real scared because he might tip over.

This teacher wasn't trying to scare us. She's not one of those.

Hahahaha, I have heard like 10 different people tell the same story, "A friend of a friend of mine." Amazing how there is not one case on the whole internet about this story, but everyone seems to know it. I'm pretty sure 100 tabs is not nearly enough to OD on anyway.

I personally would consider a sheet to be in overdose territory. You wouldn't die but, I mean come on.

 

It takes around 12,000 ug to overdose.

 

I don't usually associate the word "overdose" with death. I unfortunately have experienced one first hand. Thank god it wasn't L.

 

The sad thing is because of bullshit stories like these, most genuine stories of LSD trainwrecks are ignored/glossed over. A guy I know has done a lot of drugs over the past year or so. LSD, DMT, ketamin, salvia etc, and he's really gone a bit nutty. He's been a total pain lately and just comes out with a load of bollocks whenever you're around him.

I'm sure a lot of you know how extensive LSD use tends to lead to sudden moments of realization, about life and everything else.. and everything can seem very profound. Well he has this, but to the point of ridicule.

He spent about half an hour the other day, dancing around the room, trying to explain to anyone who would listen "EVERYTHING I'M DOING, AND EVERYTHING I'M CREATING, IS WHAT I'M LEARNING!!". Well it's like, yea, obviously, whenever you do something or create something, you learn something too, but he was acting like it was the most profound thing ever and just wouldn't shut up.

I seriously doubt you can ever go permanently insane on acid, as in you think you're a beaver or a pint of beer for the rest of your life. I have no doubt you can go permanently psychotic given acid abuse, but you wouldn't sit there like a tit and be an object for ever. You'd be schizophrenic or maniac/depressive or whatever.

Syd Barret was actually sane when he died. And he did heaps of acid from what i've heard.

 

i know people who have taken a 100 hits just to stay awake..

LSD is a double up drug,, the more ya do,(over a extended period)the more ya gotta do..

thats not to say if ya aint done none in a couple months an ya ate a sheet ya wouldn't be fucked for a couple days,, but i doubt anyone with experience would lose there minds..

 

Actually i heard that before he died all he could really do was plant flowers in his garden, besides that he pretty much set around. I wouldn't call that very sane though, but i might be wrong.

 

His family (namely his sister) has been very adamant about the fact that he was not crazy. Syd was interested in photography for much of his older life, rode his bike to the store, went outside for walks and other such things. I don't really think there was a whole lot wrong with him, he just seemed a bit anti-social. He actually sounds a lot like how my grandpa is now.

Sure he did a lot of drugs, but I think that evidence points to him having had some sort of mood disorder, maybe being Bipolar or had Depression. A good case to show why one shouldn't take a lot of psychedelic drugs if you have any sort of mental disorder.

And I know at least five or six people who "knows someone who knows someone" or "know of the person but can't remember their name but everyone knows about them"...no way is this story true. Even an overdose, no matter how strong, will not cause those kinds of thoughts. You may forget who you are, but you don't think you're something else. One time tripping shrooms I felt like I was my friend I was trippin with, but that's it.

There are two stories that I trust, one more than the other, and both only to a certain extent. First, was a story told by our DARE (I know, I know, just read) officer about a girl "back in the day" who had taken several hits and thought that the carpeting was grass that was growing out of control, and she was "mowing the grass" by dragging her arms across the carpet. She went to the hospital with burns on her arm, but in reality it wasn't that bad. His point was you can be cut off from reality.

The other story has to do with the town "crazy guy" and the reason I sort of trust this story is that a lot of the adults would never want to talk about what happened to him. Especially the teachers at our school that graduated with him. Apparently he was the valedictorian, and at a grad party someone spiked his drink with LSD. He lives with his parents near the school, pretty much all this guy does is walk around town and smoke cigarettes and go to Burger King. Every once in a while you'd see him at the video store or somewhere else, not doin much. It's also entirely possible he just has a personality disorder, but the stories the teachers have told are all extremely similar, some of them graduated with him, and the stories were never told in a "don't do this" manner. It was more of a "don't give shit to people who don't know they're about to take shit" perspective. But who knows. Maybe he's just an alky.

I don't know, but in hospitals if you're having a bad trip or if you took to much acid they give you a shot of Thorazine to bring you down from your trip. I doubt if the guy is trippin out thinking he's a glass of water. There's a point when you come down.
