Recently I have been having dreams about my LSD/DMT experience which was back in january. The dreams started about a week ago and have been getting stranger and stranger. Its hard to explain. In my dream I am asleep and I am stuck in this lucid dream. But I dont think its a real lucid dream because it is a dream within a dream. I wake up from the lucid dream and I am back in the original dream. Its too hard for me to explain. Its like I know I am dreaming when I am in the lucid dream and I know I am dreaming when Im in the original dream but also at the same time I know it as reality so I know Im dreaming but I also dont know Im dreaming. Damnit I probably sound like a madman. Would you consider it a lucid dream if it is a lucid dream within a dream?

Once your lucid, your in a lucid dream. Once you no longer have control your back to a regular dream. In your case you could only become lucid when you dreamed about dreaming. I would say that yes you were indeed lucid no matter how many dreams you were a part of.

I remember trying to slap myself to get out of the lucid dream and I ended up doing a belly flop on the ground and that returned me to the original dream.

Dreams are to me one of the biggest mysterys of life. My dreams are extermly vivid and strange. I enjoy them so much. But why would u want to get out of a lucid dream?

Yup, Ive had dreams within dreams before, and I didnt need to take lsd to experience it, although it would be nice hrmf...... Anyway, there have been many times where I would feel actual pain in my dreams, like if I died, I would physically feel my body rot, etc etc. Also the feeling of entering my body again after coming out of a dream has happened to me a few times as well. Usually this happens if Im about to hit the ground in a dream though.

I dont think you have dreams in dreams but rather, you have a stage of dreaming that is followed by another stage which begins with you 'waking up' into a new world. often themes or worlds or realms or what have you, repeat themselves at various points in dreams. If a world in one stage is followed by a rather different world, and then followed by the original stage, it will feel like you had a dream inside the overall dream.
But a dream inside a dream doesnt even make sense, dreaming has a specific purpose, there would be no purpose to a secondary dreaming engine/process that would activate during certain times of normal dreaming.

Once you are dreaming, everything is the one dream you are having, no matter what the content of the dream, usually.

So a lucid dream inside a dream is more like a 'lucid stage' in your dreaming

Why would you ever want to get out of a lucid dream? You are the master of your own universe in lucid dreams.

Because I had to see if the first original step was real. I cant really explain it but it felt like it needed to be done.

dreams are constructs of memories (collective memory)...memories of everything and anything you've ever seen, heard, felt, touched, tasted, and thought...in other words, memories of events, sensations, sensory input..anything relating to any of your senses, sometimes remixed. REM sleep (dreaming) is caused by acetylcholine, the neurotransmitter also responsible for memory.

i had a dream a while ago about the end of the world. we were at wal-mart and aliens dropped nuclear bombs on everything and i was in a ditch that protected me (i ran there after seeing the aliens) and my family was safe inside the car but everyone else turned to zombies so all the conscious people were hiding inside wal-mart and eventually the zombies left and i remember that we were in the gardening section and all the plants outside were dead and everything was destroyed so we planted all the seeds to try and rebuild nature and to survive and it ended by us having a huge garden growing outside of walmart that we planted in bagged soil b/c all the real soil was contaminated. i found out that if someone was hiding behind glass then they were safe from the radiation which is why walmart was ok. it was great except noone beat the aliens.
