    LSA extraction.

Large supply of HBWR in stock, ready for mass extraction but still worried about health risk associated with most non polar solvents.

Here's my question. Is the NPS absolutely necessary for extraction. If the Polar Solvent only extracts the good stuff then what is the need to remove the bad stuff first?

Shouldn't I just be able to get some everclear or something and skip straight to that step without having to use lighter fluid or anything risky?

Or is there still something bad in the seeds that will be extracted by the PS making use of NPS madatory?

Anyone with insight? Ideas? Experience? Safe, easy to aquire NPS alternatives to lighter fluid.

    Thanks!

Dont worry about the solvent, it completely evaporates, as long as you get it pure with no added chemicals that wont evaporate

I am by no means a chemist, even on an amateur level, but my guess would be that your polar solvent has the potential to extract things other than the LSA. The LSA is probably not soluble in non-polars, but some bad stuff is. So you extract the bad shit with the non-polar and then the good with the polar.

Again, I'm just talking out of my ass and could be completely wrong, but this seems logical to me.

i'm trying a polor extraction now skiping the non-polor step....although i'm not using everclear (I'd say no to that cause you'll be tipsy and tripping every time, not good imo....well not all the time) i'm evaping all the solvent then scraping up the residue and that's abou it. I'll post if it make me sick or not.

i did it and stuck with 3 different liquids...one of them being deadly, one being lsa, and the third i have no idea about.....in short not the best of ideas....oh and i heard that if you skip the naphta part the resulting extraction will give you a huge head due to the fact that alcohol is a better solvent.

There are three used methods for extracting LSA from morning glory and HBW. The first and easiest, Water extraction. This is basically making a tea of the seeds, then filtering the seed particles out. Like i said, this is the simplest, but will still most likely make you sick to your stomach. The second, is a simple alcohol extraction. This will leave you with much cleaner and stronger results than the cold water extraction. Chances are you will feel a negligible amount of nausea. This is probably the best method for people who aren't sure about the next, more difficult extraction. The Polar/Nonpolar solvent extraction. It uses chemicals that are deadly and if ingested cause instant cancer. So i'd suggest using the simple alcohol extraction. Its safe easy and effective.

basically if you just do the water or just do the ethanol extraction, you will still get nauseated and cramps in your legs and a couple of other negative side effects.

    it's completely up to you.
