Im setting up a grow room shortly and was going to grow the Lowryder strain. Apparently its ready in 60 days and automaticaly buds. has anyone grown or smoked this? I was wondering about the potency of the high and also yields?
Not too sure on the yields... My friend is currently growing his second lot of this outdoors. Tasty smoke, nice enough indicaesque stone, does the job. The plants look a bit funny but when I tried it it was ok. Not the best ever but by no means crap, doesn't take much care either. Shitty thing for my mate was he only got something like 5 females from 20 seeds this time around...
finding out which is a female is going to piss me off. Could you recomend any feminised varieties which are easy to grow and ready in about 60 days?
Well I've never used feminised seeds, so I can't reccomend any of those. If you want to spend a few bucks then give AK a shot, it's alsways been hardy, overpowering stone, good taste, AAA herb. Pretty damn stable, and very good yeild. I've grown it for a bit but now I'm trying some new strains, but still I can't reccomend it high enough. http://www.drchronic.com/products.asp?partno=SER-ak~47 Blockhead by Spice of Life is also some rediculous smoke and easy to grow, but it's not in stock anywhere right now. If you can get your hands on some then get that one. Lowryder is some ok smoke from what I hear, and it'd very quick and small, which is cool, but personally I think you'd be better spending a few extra weeks and getting much more and much better herb.
i was going to get lowryder because of the automatic budding and i want my eqipment to be very discreet. i was going to grow these in a much smaller enviroment. a metre square room with a 250 watt hobby light, 250 watt HPS, with reflector. what do you think? will this equipment be ok?
I don't understand what the hobby light is, but the 250 hps is absolutely enough for a nice personal stash.
If you do end up growing out some lowryder, id go with Lowryder #2. I've heard its a much better/stronger high and quite tasty....as lune said if you want to spend a bit more grow out some Ak 47, you will not be dissapointed.
I would stay with a non-ruderalis strain myself for indoors. In order to keep the strain going it will have to be seeded as cloning is out (auto flowering). A nice shorter variety would be better then you can find a mother you like and run clones to perpetuate the op. NL#5 would be a good choice - MHO btw
thanks for your advice guys. im not sure what the hobby light is either. I gues ill find out when it arrives. I think im gonna go with lowryder 2 as it sounds very easy. I want to walk before i can run. I know AK is very nice bud, ive been lucky enough to get the real deal from a home grower before. I read though it gets it name because its a "one hit wonder"? People get found out because of its smell? Also can police helicopters spot my room if its by an outer wall?
Exactly mate. will my cabinet be giving eneough heat out for it to look suspicious? Ive bought a fan and carbon filter kit to keep it nice and cool inside.
There is a thread in here somewhere discussing this same question. If I come across it I will pop a link. I believe its radient heat from windows and such that show up - not so much through the walls.
Check this out www.icmag.com and look under the sub-forum MDANZIG He apparently is helping lead the charge with these type of plants. The pictures make me want to get cancer or something bad enough to warrant a license.
