Did anyone hear how Arthur Lee went nuts and abandonned the tour? The backup band he was working with (does anyone know if this includes any original members?) is gonna tour on without him. Touring with Arthur Lee, the genius and voice behind all the songs, is this wise? Or do you think they're probably good musicians and can handle on their own and give the audience all the same material sans Lee's psychosis?
I think his name was Brian McLean, but I may be wrong.. he was their original lead guitarist and he's dead.. so if you're talking about a new tour, it couldn't include all the original members.
Oh. Lee's been touring with some group of guys since the late 90s under the name of ARTHUR LEE & Love. They've done pretty well, especially in the UK. About a month ago they had a big gig scheduled (I think Manchester?) and Lee just randomly refuses to get on the plane, refusing even to leave Los Angeles. So from what I hear the backing band still has obligations for a bunch of dates and he just flipped out on everyone so they're just pressing on doing Forever Changes live without him.
heh, sounds like Arthur Lee hasn't changed since 1966. atleast he's staying out of trouble and prison now.
