Looks like an attack on Iran is now very imminent

This article was published yesterday in the London Telegraph. And this time I think it's very real given the size and scope of the exercise, coupled with the fact that elections are just around the corner. Get ready folks, this could be our 'October Surprise'.

It sounds like world war three is imminent.

Because war is clearly a more viable option than ending oil dependency.

 

As long as the oil keeps the rich people rich, the dependency will not simply disappear.

 

The evangelical cons are chomping at the bit to invade Iran. The Iraq war cost $3 trillion, Iran will cost ten times that, and go on till the second coming of Christ. You see what that stupid anti-Muslim movie did to inflame the Muslim world. Invading Iran will will spark world war three. That means no more oil coming to America. That means China and Russia come to defend their oil interests. That means the total collapse of the global economy. The evangelical republicans are trying to bring about Armageddon. Israel may attack Iran in order to get us to come to their aid, and effect the U.S election. But I think it will only serve to get Obama elected, because America doesn't want to take on 1.5 billion Muslims, 2 billion Chinese and the Russians. Israel, if you invade, you're on your own.

Might have been before you were born, but there was a few years after Vietnam when America had become tired of war. The Carter years. But then Ronnie Raygun jumped in Iran/Iraq, and Contra b.s.. Then Shrub daddy did Grenada, Panama and Desert Storm, all in only four years. Clinton did "peace keeping" in the remnants of Yugoslavia, ending that war. Then Shrub Jr. had to get us into perpetual war with the Muslims. The republicans think war is the solution to everything.

 

This whole Iran/Israel thing is right out of the book of Revelations. Where Israel will make a peace deal, brokered by the antichrist. And the evangelical republicans are itching to make that happen.

Religion is used to control the masses. I don't think the elites of the world give a shit about god. They just want all the resources left. The elites are not dumb enough to wage war based on a work of fiction. Maybe some low level looneys in the US government think it is a holy war, but this goes way beyond them.

 

Me too, but I can't stand how RJhangover is ALWAYS standing up for Obama!!! It's always the "conservatives fault" to him!!! Obama has stated time and time again that Isreal is America's "strongest ally." Obama is no different than republicans on this issue... or any issue really.

You all seem surprised, war = money for big corp so it will always be there for us. However we are not getting into war with Iran anytime soon, unless Iran strikes us first...it would be political suicide for Obama to get us in another war atm.

I tend to disagree with your whole premise. It definitely matters who the president is, (I highly doubt Ron Paul would be dragging us into this war,) but if we had only political figures who believed in the constitution and THE WAR POWERS act, this wouldn't be happening!!!

No we're not. Israel's prime minister (or president wtvr they have,) has said they no longer need Americas help. They have a strong military and a stockpile of nuclear weapons, they are just fine without us. Plus, America tells them what they can and can't do, and Israel spies on America more than any of our other "allies."
