I'll start by saying that I install wireless network equipment at customer's homes, which involves climbing ladders, being on roofs, in attics, and inside their home. What I want is a pair of shoes that can put up with these actions and that keep the foot concealed enough to look professional but without socks. If I can't find anything good I may end up just getting a plain pair of sneakers but I'm not giving up yet! Currently I'm suffering with a pair of dressy shoes from "Wonderlite" which are light but are no good for my job. Plus they don't breath AT ALL. Your input is greatly appreciated!
maybe you could try some watershoes...wal- mart actually has a lot of different types for really cheap ($6-$7-ish) that look passably like shoes. i bought a pair the other day, and they're really comfy and will get me to summer at least.
I would suggest you try something from VivoBarefoot. http://www.terra-plana.co.uk/shoe.aspx?shoe=AQUA They are made to be barefoot in and I wear mine all the time and just buy disposable insoles from the 99c store and change them about once every 2 weeks and have not ran into any odor problems. I like these because unlike the nike free these acatually feel sorta like you are still barefoot as you can feel everything you step on like small stones ect but they have kevlar soles which is in a bullet proof vest so even if you were to say step on a nail it would not puncture the sole. Downside is they are kinda expensive . I say A+++ for these.
Wow... I really like these! The thought of being able to still feel everything really sounds good to me. I'm defineltly going to check them out once I get some more spendin' money!
Dude - I just ordered a pair of the Aquas...I'll let you know how they feel when I get them...drop me a line sometime - I didn't realize you were still around and in the cold Northwest!
