Hello! Years ago, I came across a lovely story but I have no idea where I read it. It goes something like this. It was a time of war. A thief was enlisted; all the generals rejected the thief except one who agreed to have him join his ranks. This general didn't try to change the nature of the thief; instead, he used his talents for battle. On the first night, he sent the thief to steal something in the tent of the enemy general; on the second night, he sent him to steal something that lay closer to the enemy general's bed, and on the third night, he sent him to steal the enemy general's hairclip (or whatever those things are called!). The next morning, the enemy general, afraid he'd be murdered in his sleep the following night, surrendered. If you happen to know where I can find this story, I'd be most grateful. Thank you for any help! Ariel
