I have never really taken shrooms before. There was one time I took a few but I didn't have that much effect, so I can't say I know the full effects. I have a friend who has some and is willing to share but I'm not sure if I want to trip with him. I have a very good relationship with him so it's not that I don't like him. It's more like I want to have a spiritual journey, too the point where I talk to deities and what not cause I have somethings that I would like to see in a different perspective and questions I want answered. I more want to trip alone and figure things out, or at least trip where I have freedom to walk away without getting a guilty feeling of leaving him behind. I'm kinda looking at shrooms as a why to communicate to the spiritual world similar to what Native Americans did. So am I expecting too much, going about it the wrong way, or should I just drop the whole thing a forget taking mushrooms entirely. Any input from people who have experience please. I have read many trip reports and done research on them before, and that is why I think what I do now for the most part. P.S my original plan was to wait until I have a stable place to live and then grow my own and trip in my own home, but that would be in 2 years or more at the rate that everything is happening now. However I am patient enough to wait.
Mushrooms can be spiritual with other people around, as long as you and your friend are comfortable and can give eachother the space to be introspective. There are some perks to journeying with a co pilot. Sometimes to have someone around for emotional support is like a godsend especially during traumatic moments. It's important that you both need to be on the same page as far as being attuned to the more subtle, spiritual aspects of the mushroom experience. You can't really get far with people who want to just trip balls and see shit while playing call of duty on xbox. I think your intentions of getting some answers is a good start but don't expect too much without a dose of at least 3.5 grams. Take a good dose, prepare a comfortable space, dim the lights and set your intentions. If you just remember to be fully present and open in the mushroom consciousness and approach them with humility I think you can gain something positive from the experience.
You're expecting too much, but you're definitely the type of person who should take shrooms. I posted this today and I say this a lot; don't have expectations for the trip because bad trips can stem from expectations since the trip is never what you first expected before experiencing psychedelics. If you trip alone, and judging by the trip you seem to want, be in nature, definitely not your own room if you want a spiritual "experience". Tripping in your own room can bring back memories that you had in the room, sometimes bad sometimes good, and their's nothing new in your room you havn't seen, so the visuals may not even happen if you're like me.
I hate those people. I don't see the point in doing psychedelics if you're just going to sit inside and do what you would do sober.
If you don't have much experience with shrooms or psyches I would suggest having someone around There will be more times in the future that you can do it alone, it's not like this will be your only trip.
Thank you for the advise. I think I'm going to wait. I don't want to trip in his apartment, and he doesn't want to trip outdoors. Ether that or he miss understood me when I explained what I wanted.
you are expecting a little to much, they are what they are. You may have an amazing trip, but it may not be spiritual. On the other hand, you may have a godly spiritual trip. It's hit or miss, but the people you are around definitely helps. Don't go in expecting anything, and you'll have a blast
