sorry that you haven't been able to find your dad

hopefully you will be able to get in touch with him

maybe go to the next ocala gathering, including the seed camp. if you have a picture of the two of you together, you might print that on a flyer with contact information

maybe make clear that you are not asking people to give info on his whereabouts against his will, just trying to get the message to him.

it could be that your dad doesn't want to be in touch with you. I hope that that is not the case

Thanks you all! @e7m8...I do not have any pictures of my father and me, as I have never met my father in person...he left KY when I was like 4 or 5 and I don't remember him, the only pictures I have he sent to me when I was 25, BUT he did try when I was growing up to get in touch with me, however my mom did have me adopted by my step dad and refused to let me get in touch with him, when I was 18 my grandmother had an address and I wrote him, throughout the years,there has been problems with us being able to stay in touch, although we did talk on the phone and write each other..whenever we could find the other one...I really don't think he is avoiding me, as he really wanted to met me face to face and meet his grand-childern and wanted me to meet my brother and sister, he had after me the last letter I sent him on the "inside" was sent back saying he was released, well I have moved and married again since his last letter, so I think he believes that I stopped wanting to have a relationship with him...which I hadn't I just can't find him and the address he gave on his release was a phony, so dead end there...on a good note I have found MY BROTHER AND SISTER and we are very happy to know each other, however they were in contact with him a lot over the years,but they haven't seen him since 2004,they said he always drifted in and out..and no matter where my father was over the last 32/33 years he always always called my grandmother, on holidays and stuff and she hasn't heard from him since 2007 and is very worried, she has gotten really bad off and has also moved and placed in a home, so I am sure he doesn't know where to find her, or he thinks she already is gone...

OH AND ANOTHER THING THAT COMES TO MIND IS THAT HE HAS TOLD ME IS THAT HE USED TO LIVE IN JEFFERSON, GA ON YONDER'S FARM FROM AROUND 2003 TO ABOUT 2005 OR 2006.

ALSO HE PLAYED SOME KIND OF MUSIC WITH A GUY NAMED "NICK THE PICK"...I HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH NICK THE PICK AND HE HASN'T SEEN HIM FOR A WHILE NOW, LAST HE HEARD HE WAS ON YONDER'S FARM, HOWEVER MY RESEARCH HAS SHOWN THAT..THAT FARM HAS BEEN CLOSED BY THE AUTHORITIES.....

I think with that info you can do a lot to find info on people

You might want to go to your local library and look for information on how to locate people. The reference librarian might be able to help you.

It could be that he's in jail again, or could be on probation. If so, there should be a record of his whereabouts that you may be able to get access to

in principle, you could hire a professional to do some of this research for you, but I have the feeling it could be expensive and you might get results just as good or better on your own

any indication of why he would have stopped contact with your grandmother?

 

No I don't have a ss# all I have and know is what I told you all...he has no records after his release, in which the address he gave was phony. He always talked about a friend of his found on the computer....So I thought that maybe if I posted this link to some of the Rainbow sites.. maybe someone would know him and get him my information or me his...

All we know is when he was released in 2007,he lived in Macon GA for a while then a friend dropped him off at an inter-section in front of the Ocala Forrest...we are thinking that if he tried to call my grandma that she didn't have the same number as she was in a nursing home from falling at home and broke her hip, and I had moved and married,and when I wrote to tell him it was returned....all public search stuff turns nothing up...

I am trying this way...hopefully we canfind each other again and grandma can know he is fine....

there is already a plan to check in on willy. unfortunately the person who has made the commitment presently is in new orleans and will not be going to see willy until net month. i am not sure how many of the nerf folks have been to willy's cabin or have directions. there is confirmation that willy was seen last winter so we just need to be a little more patient. the initial announcement that willy was missing was sent by his daughter over a year ago and presently none of the nerf folks even knows how to reach her so we do not know whether she is now in contact with her father.
i am just going to put this one up to the universe and await a report next month by a trusted brother.

 

That's Daniel Love? Last I heard of him, Little Hawk said he still lived in the trailer provided for him by an elderly man in Ocala who he drove around, and helped with daily chores the elderly gentleman was no longer able to perform.

 

If I needed to find Daniel Love, I'd go here, (Winn-Dixie) where we used to dumpster dive. The grocers would leave the "good stuff" on the ground knowing Daniel and I would either take it or put it in the dumpster. I've heard he's still in the general area.

And before I get chewed out over giving such a specific location, which I wouldn't typically do... He expressed to me his concern regarding this specific situation, and asked me to scream, shout, yell anything I know regarding his status should this arise. Hopefully someone is in more current, direct contact than I am and can get the message to him. Please.

OH I am in tears right now, this is the BEST information I have received in the search I have been on....THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! Should I write to the manager of that Winn Dixie? as I live in Louisville KY and that is not somewhere I can travel, however my aunt(his baby sister) has offered to take me anywhere I need to go however, she is currently fighting for her life also (another thing that he would want to know)....Oh I hope we find someone who if nothing else will give him my contact information...I can do the rest...

and I know or at least I truly believe in my heart that he wants to be in contact with me...anytime we lost contact in the past he was ALWAYS glad I found him...things just happen in life and when a person moves and travels as he does it's very easy to lose touch....

so maybe some rb family in the area could put up a sign for you by the dumpster

you could also print the signs yourself (including some inside a plastic cover if they are going to be placed outside) and send them to folks

wouldn't have to have his picture on it - he might not want that. maybe just something like "Urgent message for Daniel Love - Grandma is in the hospital, please contact Jackie at (your email) asap"

doesn't look like there are a whole lot of roads through the forest

if you could get a phone book for that area, you could contact people who live along the main routes. maybe make a a yard sign with some wire to make it stand up and mail it to anyone willing to put one up

in addition to the rainbow family, maybe church groups in the area might be willing to help

 

I don't know what a private side AGR is, but if luvione's efforts lead to jackie finding her dad, I would like to nominate (him?her?) for an award

 

I totally agree...you have been a wonderful blessing in this matter!! I really feel as I might find him again! All Thanks to you and your information. I have been contacted by a few others who are trying to find people they know who might still be in touch with him....so things are looking up!

And also @e7m8...I appreciate your insights on this matter and I did take some of your suggestions and I made a flyer (minus the pictures) and I searched all the businesses around that Winn Dixie, plus the Winn Dixie and I sent them to the businesses and pleaded for them to put them in their windows... They should have them by Monday so hopefully someone will see them and tell him or he will see them himself....I am hoping

Just wanted to update you guys that have helped me, I still have had NO LUCK in being in contact with my father....Please if you know of someone that might know where he is right now, please please get him a message for me......I have sent letters and fliers to near by businesses in the area but have had no response, maybe they didn't take the time to post them...so my next question is if anyone knows of any rainbow family in the ocala area, or that Winn Dixie could you please send them my email address and maybe I can send them something to post around...I really really need to get in touch with him and I know he will be thrilled to have me find him and get him these messages, especially from my grandmother....it's not looking good and I think she is just holding on to make sure my father is ok..please please help if you can.....
