ok so my friend told me he tried San pedro the other day. he said is was an amazing experience, so i got home, went to Erowid and starting looking, i didnt have really any time to look anything up, just the names of some common cacti. so i got the week off, so im probably going to look around to see if i can find anything (i got about 4-5 places three minutes away from where i live where i can look, Walmart, Rona, Home depot, some plant store etc) i dont know if its the time of year but i thought i would give it a try. ok so my question is, which one would i have the best chance of finding/is the easiest to prepare. and of course what one you guys recommend /dont recommend. T. pachanoi - San Pedro T. peruvianus - Peruvian Torch T. terscheckii - Cardon Grande Peyote (Lophophora williamsii) anything anyone would like to add would be helpful(again i will be looking at erowid before i try it, but sometimes it is hard to find some info, like dose) i dont really have the time to spend even 10min on Erowid looking for long term effects, maybe in tommorow ill take a look.so anyway; i was just wondering if there any long term effects that go along with san pedro? im not usually one to worry but i thought i would ask just incase -Thanks
First of all Peyote (Lophophora williamsii) is illegal and very hard to find. Even if you attempt to find it, youd had to look for it on the deserts of Texas, which can put you on danger becuase: 1.) Deserts are atleast 100 degrees. 2.) Deserts were peyote are located are watched by the border patrol and would probably bust your ass for stupid cacti. 3.) Youd have to be looking for hours even days to find peyote. 4.) Youd had to get plenty of water, which ofcourse would be more than 1 gal. 5.) Youd be fucking with nature since peyote is so hard to grow(mature button= 10-12yrs) and would be a waste of time wasting one you since you probably dont know how many to take. 6). Again, you'll be walking like a f*cking moron around the desert all day looking for the sacred cacti. If I were you id stick to San Pedro or Peruvian torch since they are: 1.)Way easier to obtain. 2.)Wont arrise suspicion. 3.) Are way cheaper in price. Plus, if your looking for the highest yield of mesc., id stick to perv. torch since it,most of the time, yields a higher percentage of mescaline. And even ask me on how to extract that. Instead, go educate yourself on the process at erowid.org. And finally, dont be selling that damn extract and get yourself caught.
San pedro of peruvian torch. Boil for 12-15 hours- topping up the water- do not boil for less. Drink your result (tastes really good, suprisingly smooth and fruity), or if you dont like the taste boil it down- add some icing sugar and make little pallettes. Works for me- for more info erowid- experiences- search by author- 'ergotoxine'. Eat on an empty stomach- VERY IMPORTANT- othorwise you'll miss out the real effects and just feel a bit 'weird'. Be perpared to wait 3 hours for it to fully kick in and be prepared to vomit. Good luck- this is my favorite recreational plant, besides weed of course May the force be with you
I've always used fresh- If you have plenty of cactus use only the dark green flesh under the skin (it contains most of the mescaline)- otherwise use the whole lot. Boil for 12+ hours, strain, discard the plant matter, boil the liquid down to a managable amount or boil down to thick goo and make little pills. If you have dried cactus you could eat it as it is, the water extraction should still work but if I was using dried cacti, I would try to get my hands on pure drinkable alcohol or even ether and do an alcohol extraction- check out www.erowid.org for more info. good luck.
