Long Weekends and Great Weather

How can you beat having a long weekend with great weather.

Was great to work outside putting in my flower and vegetable garden as the sun was shinning and the earth was warm. Perfect for digging toes into some dirt!

Opened up the pool and have barracuda cleaning it up now. The water is warm enough to swim in but there is something about the water not being clear yet that is off putting. I am not sure why that is, as at the cottage I never even think of that. Go figure.

Was a great weekend!

It's raining and cold-ish here today. The long weekend was nice. I got a sunburn from weeding my sister's garden. I went to the forks yesterday and sat by the river with a shitload of "new" friends. The man to woman ratio in this group of friends is like 3:1. I like the odds. Life is good.

 

Absolute blinder of a weekend here too, went for my first swim at my local beach

Definitely going tomorrow if the weather is good again. Been great to get in the sea again.

Few other adventures this weekend but the beach definitely made me happiest, only a half hour walk too and hitching is a piece of piss going out there and back

 

The ratio is a good mix and it sounds like you had a good time.

Too bad it rained today on you. We need rain desperately, seems like none until Friday so I will have to water or I will lose my plants. It is amazing how fast you get a burn when gardening.

Yeah I hope it is too...its a bit of a touristy beach but the closest side in the picture, the left side is a lot quieter.

Going to be working with the surf school there this year too. Only for €40 a week but its the closest to a job in town that Ive been able to get in 3 years. Also its two paid hours a day at the beach

 

I think that would be great for the summer. How much better than that does it get and a little coin on the side is a bonus.

 

The weather was perfect this past weekend and I finally felt comfortable enough to plant my annuals
without the fear of frost

I don't have weekends (every day is a saturday!) but weather's been getting better here lately; torrential downpour last night, great, except I had to lift my bike up twice as it sank down into the mud that is usually dirt. Today is too hot as usual, I'm guessing we'll have another day of around 40*C at noon.

 

hopefully going camping! I do love to camp, and my kids love it too, bc they can stay up late, and eat smores, and dance around the campfire.
