What do you think of long hair? I was under the impression that most hippies loved long hair, but I have since discovered otherwise. How many of you actually don't like long hair? (I love it.)
i love it on other ppl, but i always keep my hair short, because i get fairly impatient waiting for it to grow out. But im gonna take my time and trim and grow until its nice and long. but my hair is thin
I love long hair on myself and others, too. Just yesterday I went for a trim and the lady cut off a few too many inches.. yeah. So now my long hair is maybe 2-3 in. shorter. ::sigh::
i like long hair on myself a lot. my hair is layered right now but the longest part is just about down to the middle of my back
i dont really like long hair on me....its really thick and i can never style it in a way that i like...so i keep it slghtly short, probably up to my shoulders will be the longest i would have it now. I used to be crazy about long hair on others but now its not so much of an issue anymore...honestly hair or no hair, its all cool
I'm a long hair obsessive I went to tight ass schools which banned long hair so i spent years miserable because of that...now i've left and plan on growing it to my waist! (Incidentally i had long hair before a i started at school...) On girls i prefer lower back/waist/past waist length hair Long hair=tres radical
Long hair is great! I can't imagine myself with short hair, I've always had long. Now it's not too long, but I hope it will be soon. When I was 10 I had a very very long hair. I was able to sit on it... It used to be straight then, but now it's curly/wavy. I think everybody looks better with long hair.
Long hair isn't necessarily going to "bother establishment types" so it's an option of preference more than the freak flag of identity it was in 66-80. personally, long hair in certain styles still signals people I'd like to know (dreads included, the longer the better) so I still take note. My own hair is at tailbone length and my sweetie keeps his at its natural terminal length, which is around the mid point between his shoulder blades. I am guessing that people DON'T call us hippies because of the hair alone. Most peopole are looking at so much more in the society signals: no make up or shaving for me, the causes we are involved with, attitudes, openes to concepts...and the gorgeous dyes he makes! www.tiedyepaul.com that's me picking out stitches a few years ago.
I love long hair. On everyone. I wish mine was long right now. My hair is quite short at the moment, because I get bored and shave my head on a whim, etc... I should grow it long again...
when i actually brush my hair, which is like once or twice a week, its almost past my shoulder blades . I havent cut it in 2 years.
I love long hair too...I trimmed mine this summer because it was so friggin' hot, but it's coming back. I like my hair when it is lightly layered (my hair is wavy, so too much layering gives it a big hair look), and it has a slightly "wild woman" look to it. When I had my last driver's license picture taken, it was like that...I'm one of the few folks that actually REALLY LIKES their driver's license picture ...., and I would like to get it back to that look. I love long hair on other people too...
i love long hair!! my boyfriend has long hair, well its to his shoulders, and i must say he has pretty hair, and i dont think he takes care of it much, just washes it. and its soo pretty i love to play with it haha. but my hair is like couple inches past my shoulder in dreads. when i was in kindergarted. my hair was to my waist, and then i cut it in 6th grade, biggest mistake i think. neways... i love long hair
i looove long hair..i cut mine off once 14 years ago & that was the last time anyone ever got near me with scissors mines like 6 inches past my knees now & growing i love long hair on girls too.. if its really long ..just wow.. but short can be cute on some girls..but i dont think any guys look good with short hair..they just look goofy
Some advice: If you treat your hair extra nicely it will grow long and look nice even while it's thin. Give up your brush and replace it with a comb, wash 3 or 4 times a week instead of every day, stay away from chemical stuff, etc. You should oil the ends with jojoba oil because once your hair is past your crown it will dry out and split because of the lack of sebum. Wearing hair in braids and buns and covering it in a bandana or hat while you're in the sun can keep it from damage. Maybe you should try making your own washes and conditioner rinses out of herbs. Believe me,when I started treating my thin hair nicely it looks and feels nice and it is so healthy. Growing it long at the moment.
