It seems to popular belief among a large majority of Christians and even non-Christians that Heaven is a magical place in the sky/clouds where God(elderly bearded man) is sitting at a big throne with Jesus on his right hand side. The whole place is beautiful, filled with angels and harps and surrounded by pearly gates. "And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, "The kingdom of God cometh not with observation. Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, Lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you." ---------------------------------------------------Luke 17:20-21 Now are we to believe that the image first presented is inside of us? I think not, the kingdom of Heaven is within and should be searched for thus. Upon reaching the kingdom of heaven is upon reaching enlightenment.
I would argue the point that most Christians believe that God lives in the clouds. Some people aregue "amongst you" or "in your midst" rather than "within you". Also, if it is "within" us, couldn't that mean that the power of the Kingdom, or rather the power to establish the Kingdom on Earth, is within us?
Even with my physical eyes, I see it. It's right in front of me. You too. Those who cant see it, have belief in their eye. x
