They were just another grunge band before a music producer give them a lot of money to become something a little slicker.

 

Hahahahahha.... There are none.

 

Dogs and roosters only think they know how to sing! Although, I knew an old blood hound once, who was great to listen to because he was blind and would pretend to chase deer through the woods and just have a good time.

 

we have 5 or 6 local bands here. they all play country songs that someone else wrote.

 

The only one that I like that's sort of from around here is Incubus.

Aren't those guys from San Fernando? Maybe I've imagined this, but I'm under the impression you're in northern California; though as long as I'm being technical I'll admit that the band in question is clearly from California.

There are so many bands, in that case. I just didn't think of them as local. My ex-friend's couusin was in Sublime; though I don't know in what capacity. I think he was also in Long Beach Dub All Stars...

 

STP originated in San Diego, which is where I currently live. Serendipitously, for my most recent song post, I learned Iron Butterfly was from here from that book I'm currently reading.

I grew up in Northern California, in the San Francisco Bay Area. I would have more offerings for this thread, particularly for other genres like Rap and EDM if I were doing the Bay Area.
