Little relatives coming over

My niece (6) is coming over to stay with us for a couple of days. My sister and I thought it would be a great way for her and my boys to bond. Obviously, I do plan on having some barefoot outings with her and my sister does not mind so long as she doesn't get hurt. Any ideas? We're thinking of the water park and maybe a bit of hiking.

 

Hm, you could get into an argument about that, specially if she gets hurt. I'd suggest you to ask her parents in advance about that.

 

i suggest focusing on things that are fun for kids rather than things you can make her do barefoot.

 

Forgot to mention that. Nothing that's a big much for her and my sisters fine with it.

 

Just have fun with her while she is over. Make sure she knows that shoes are optional at all times.

 

If she is around your boys, chances are she will want to be barefoot, too. I've hardly ever seen a kid want to keep his or her shoes and socks on if other kids are barefoot. You may have a convert on your hands. Have fun!

 

I'm sure as soon as she's over and her mom has gone she won't be able to resist and be barefoot, just like your boys.

A hike would be great but would have to be a smooth surface until her soles toughen and maybe throw in s trip to the supermarket, everyone loves the contrast from the black asphalt to the cool smooth tile.
