do you wanna make a long list of movies, that people can carry forward into the next reply and add to so the list is 'alive'? sorta wiki, and people can add comments and stuff to it. ehh i'll just make it here
Ravenous Hudsucker Proxy, The Bad Taste Meet the Feebles Ecchi(Icchi?) the Killer Society Cowboy Bebop Evil Dead Trap Dead and Buried Delamore Delamorte Deep Red Bubba Ho-Tep Red Shadow True Stories Doggville Velvet Goldmine Meet the Fockers Hair Green Mile, The * One Day in September Rutles, The Hedwig and the Angry Inch Audition Stark Raving Mad Beyond the Valley of the Dolls Bad Boys (Sean Penn) Premonition Go Shallow Ground Half baked Harold and Kumar go to White Castle * Without a Paddle Happy Gilmore Eurotrip unrated The girl next door unrated * -------------------- Yay, spontaneous social experiment! I put the liberty to put a star after movies i liked and one % sign if i hated it. Put one star if you liked the movie, one % if you hated it. Keep the * and the % separate. Copy and paste this list down to your reply, add any movies you think need adding, and make sure your movie isnt already on it! (alphabetical list coming soon, if this thing survives =P) ****CHAT AREA**** monarch: yeah just talk here lol, keep the rest of the thing unpolluted.I wonder if the mods'll keep this alive follow the general format of this thing haha, and copy and paste this area too! Bobwhodoesntexist: Hi monarch: shut up bob, you dont exist.

Watch Legends of the Fall. Kind of a chick flick, but gangsta as fuck at points. Watch The Opening of Misty Beethoven. It is a porno from the 70's and it was the first porno to ever recieve the "film of the year" award. It actually has a decent story too. Great stuff. It was also the first porno I ever saw, so it holds a special spot in my heart.
I dig cult films. You should definitely check out Beyond the Valley of the Dolls (I know it was mentioned already). Oh and Heathers. That movie rocks.
Gia, as portrayed in Dariah's sig, is a good movie. Angelina Jolie rocks ass in that movie. She gets strung out on heroin and shit, then shit gets fucked up, but I don't wanna ruin it for anyone, so I'll shut up now.
here's a few - you may have seen them - meh. Some kiwi films: Rain by Christine Jeffs. Similar to the Ice Storm, in that it has kids growing up too fast while the parents deal with their own problems and miss those of their children. it's set in the supposedly idyllic beachside world of 1970s NZ, and is filmed beautifully but ominously - it fits in with the Cinema of Unease style. In My Father's Den by Brad McGann Another film with opressive, open spaces and that uneasy feeling, about a guy who returns back to Central Otago after time as a war journalist to find himself implicated in the disapearance of a girl who may be his daughter Once Were Warriors by Lee Tamahori It's film about the violence and love between Beth and her husband Jake the Muss, and about how urban Maori deal with the displacement of city life and having to fit in with Pakeha ideals. it's a violent movie - but not rambo-violence-with-a-pinch-of-salt violent. It totally slays you, haunts you. But it's a great film. Other films Fallen Angels by Wong Kar Wai. it's a film from Hong Kong about love, sex, hired assasins and ice cream. Who could ask for more? The 1995 full length version is the best, it's also known as Duo Luo Tian Shi Waydowntown by Gary Burns A canadian film about 4 office workers who have a bet going to see who can stay in Calgary's interconnected down town system the longest without going outside. it's set on day 24 and everyone is going crazy. it kind of highlights the way that huge events for one person are just minor inconviences or mere blips in the larger scheme of things. eh, anyway, there's a few for now, can't think of more obscure ones, and good luck finding new films to see.
