finally getting the liquid i posted about a bit ago. My question is, what types of candies will be best for holding the liquid?
the liquid has a minty taste to it already so I thought mixing that with a sugar cube might taste bad. any other suggestions?

Those gum jellies with sugar all around it, or streight on tongue.

straight on the tongue would be great but i'm getting more for later that will need to be stored. so which candies absorb the best and will hold on to it for some time.

i had some liquid like that at a festival this spring. anything you put it on will completely over-power that minty taste. We dropped it into bubble gum when we wanted to take it with us from the chick who had it, but we put it on cookies as well (pretty much on anything we had on us.) I talked to the girl about what she was going to lay it out on and she said that she had used sprees in the past and that absorbed it really well..

oh yeah and the gum we laid it out on (bubbalicious ) stored it great, we ended up taking some of it home and eating it like a month later (after being exposed to sweltering heat and light/02)...still as potent and clean as ever :)

sweet tarts, mentos and cereal are greatly absorbant methods of blotting. You can put them in little cakes, on oreos, even white bread. However you choose to do it, make SURE to let them dry properly before packaging/bagging them. At least an hour to be safe.

well I already have sprees in the house.
    Are they gonna work?

Will it actually sink into the candy or just dry on top?

anything with a coating won't work. no sprees or m&m's or anything. It basically has to be a type of candy that is just a hardened powder (ala sweet tarts, mints, etc.) If you have some lucky charms in your house, one of my favorite methods is to take out a bunch of the marshmallows and dose those! Very absorbent and if you dose only certain ones it's a great way to sneak LSD into virtually anywhere.

Thanks for the info songcycle, that was my original suspicion that the coating would affect it's absorption. I'll get some sweet tarts to put it on.

songcycle your really impressing me around these forums lately. keep up all these great posts man, it's really appreciated.

Sweet tarts are one of the best ways to go .. I have also recieved liquid dropped on starburst. It defiantly worked, but I'm not sure how well it would keep or if the liquid is actually absorbing in .. starburst have a glossy surface. Also another fun way to go is PEZ dispensers. PEZ candys work really good because, like sweettarts, they are just a powder compressed into a candy. This has the most absorption. Just drop a hit on each PEZ and you have a neat and fun way to dispense!

The only thing I wouldn't recommend for long-term storage is gum (or anything that is dextrose-based) and sugar cubes (as they have so many oxygen molecules in them). I've heard from many many people, and it has been my own experience, that these two are notoriously hard to keep potent.
