i really want to get my lip pierced, but everybody that has it done told me that it hurts pretty bad. i'm a baby about pain, and it has stopped me from getting it done. i want it done on the left side of my lip. i dont know if that has anything to do with it hurting more/less. anybody w/ their lip pierced have any advice for me?
lip piercings can be slightly more painful on the side compared to the centre (going by general consensus at shop i work at..) but the pain is very minimal. and with most piercings, whatever pain is there is only existant for half a second. other than that, pain can vary greatly dependant on the situation. the right side of my lip was a quick prick that was nothing at and the left side, while still not much at all, was considerably more painful.
Just do it! All piercings hurt to some extent, but the pain generally only lasts for a few seconds. Nothing to worry about
Generally for any piercing, it only hurts for a few seconds! Cos the adrenaline of it all kinda kills the pain... obviously it will be sore for a while, but it's well worth it!
I've had 2 labret piercings and a monroe. The monroe hurt the most. But I am a chicken about pain too, and I went back 3 times, so that should tell you that it wasn't too bad at all.

Good luck! I got mine done on the left side 2 months ago...hurt for 3 seconds, a little sore after, no biggie! And totally worth it. Bit of advice, though- DO NOT EAT SPIcY FOODS OR SOY SAUcE in the first 2 or 3 weeks after it's done. Trust me on this one. Stings like a bitch
Lip piercings are nothing. Just go for it and keep the right mind set. It only lasts a few seconds and won't kill you so what is there to be afraid of?
My boyfriend tells me that the healings' a bitch But basically, all piercings are the same, a quick pinch and then burning. You'll be fine.
yeah. i got my labret pierced, and the actual piercing was a piece of cake. the healing on the other hand was a bitch, but I always have problems healing piercings.
