Lighters

I've never liked Zipos... they are too heavy, expensive, and a cigg tastes like zipo fluid when you light it with one.

I am a Bic man, yessir. Favourites would be orange bics... but I do fine with white and black ones.

Back in me house in Arkansas we had a rule... no red bics, because one of the housemates truly believed that they brought bad luck. We also had a rule that anytime someone uses a Zipo he had to wear aviators to look like a complete badass... we enforced it too. (we had a buch of aviators around the house, one of the housemates went through a klepto phase).

So...what's your favourite type of lighter? Colour? Zipo design?

bics are definately my favorite, but i always have to pull the child-proof metal thing out, because it annoys me otherwise. i like the ones that have pretty designs on them, but i'm not really that picky. i hate the cheaper ones, i dont know what brand they are, but they suck donkey balls.

 

me, too. everyone always gets mad at me but i seriously dont do it on purpose. especially if i'm the last one to hit a bowl or something, i always keep it in my hand. many times i wont even notice until the person has left.

Lighters are always inherited. This year I barely bought any... we've always had at least 10 people in our house at all times (it was a like a damn opium den... I tell ya!) and that means a lot of lighters, and at least one person would loose a lighter per day...

So yep yep yep... all I had to do was look between the couch cushions.

 

i am a cheap bitch so the dollar store ones suit me fine, or i collect whatever lighters i can...mini bics are sweet...i like purple, purples the shit...or green...
aviators are the only sunglasses i will wear and i look kick ass in them..they suit me...i miss my beer store aviators
now i want to set something on fire....

I love setting things on fire, I'm not safe around bics.

I was tripping acid once, and my bitchy housemate (the one that's here in Orlando in Disney now) put a sign on his door that said "No smoking in here, especially you Pavel!". (we smoke in the house, but he wanted us not to smoke in his room because he doesn't smoke... and well... I always forgot about the rule )....

So I ofcourse decide to burn the sign... as protest. So I go to the bathroom... light it with my bic (Small orange one... I called it "The Jesus Bic"...it lasted me for like 4 months... I managed not to loose it, and I dropped it in the bathtub like 3 times and it always reincarnated and worked again...amazing)... and well after I light it... I start staring at the flame...because it's so pretty, ya know... So so so... Suddenly I smell burn hair, and see that half the hair on my hand is on fire. Thank sweeeet Jesus I was smart enough to do this near a sink ... I did have a good laugh at it though.

 

i've never set myself on fire..i've set other people on fire countless times....but never myself......

My favorites are black bics, then red ones. I don't like using orange, white, purple, or blue lighters. Greens are okay...sometimes.

 

I don't really light fires all that often, just candles now and then. Usually we have bics or a knock off lurking about. I used to have to remove the child proof thing because I couldn't use a lighter properly with it, but now I'm too damn lazy.
I did get my mom a bunch of lighters from the dollar store for her stocking this xmas though, she was very happy (her and my stepdad used to put lighters in each others stockings, but they've been split for a few years so she'd had to buy her own for a while)

 

haha i like that, my mom is allergic to smoke though so if i put lighters in her stocking she wouldn't like it....
i think maybe i set too many things on fire....blah no i don't!

would the opposite of lighters be darkers or heaviers?
or maybe even coolers, since the kind of "lighters" implied by context you are talking about really ought to be called hotters or burning starters.

much prefer wooden matches where such things are needed. wifie seem to accumulate book matches.

the only thing i smoke i haven't had my hands on in ages and really don't care that much about, other then i think it's tyrannicly insane for it to be unlawful.

just hate the fumes and smell of it....

 

i never smoked anything in my life before someone passed me a doob. burning rope smells way better then burning tobacco. although i don't think either belong outside of a ritual setting and i've never smoked tobacco either.

even the herb irritates the throat and lungs though, inhailing ANY kind of smoke can and will. i don't think it's the smartest thing to do. i just don't think making possession of anything unlawful serves or bennifits anyone either.

that's my two cents worth. as for lighting flames, there are campfires and bar b ques to light and pilot lights on combusion appliances that don't have electric spark starters instead. for the latter i much prefer LOOOOOOONG wooden matches. ah, and incense too. for that anthing will do, but ritualized fire starter just for lighting insence would be cool.

I don't smoke either, haven't tried smoking anything.

Like I said in my post a bit above, I use lighters for candles and that's about it.
