More importantly, the man is fool enough to announce it to our enemies. If he is Commander In Chief, the skies of the MiddleEast will be black with celebratory gunfire.... This is why we can't have a pacifist Neville Chamberlain like man like this in the White House. McCain will torch him with these words in the general election. http://www.macsmind.com/wordpress/20...isarm-america/
It doesn't matter where the link comes from. More importantly it is coming out of Obamas mouth. It is his own words. Do you agree with his assessment?
oh thank god!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its about time someone has the fucking guts to do the right thing mccaine dont got a chance against someone with the guts to do what needs to be done to finaly bring about world peace thre ill be celebrations everywhere and ya know what??? if we start here in the scariest country with the mot war hungy assholes then maybe it will catch on everywhere fuck voiting for obama for american president .. put him in charge of fixing all governments globaly..... his potential greatness is wasted on such ignorant country as this
Yes, it does matter what the link is. You linked us to a horribly partisan site, and there's no telling if they just made this shit up. Please post a credible link, or wallow in the ridicule you will so richly deserve. Thanks.
Would you fight for your country if its soverignty was at stake or would you throw up the white flag?
Yes,it would be a shame to stop killing. We're the big dog in the world and we're coming to get your resources, you fuckin' worms.Peace?Get the fuck outt'a here, you commie pinkos.----------oh wait.Excuse me.I'm not a republic--what was I thinkin?
As I've said, when I see parachutes in the sky--I'll be there ,guns blazin'.Checkin' people's patriotism,eh.That's always a good card to play.Sorts out the cowards from THE REAL PATRIOTS.(the jingoists, that is)
When he is elected you are welcome to start an armed revolution against the US Government. Since he will dismantle the military, there will be no one to defend us against you, so you should be able to march straight to the White House and take control.
as India, china,Russia catch up to the modernworld sucking down 5 times or more in gas than the U.S and consume more food to keep their mighty engins going full steam into what we have or known. The price of everything will go up as we compete to survive. all the while weakening America. ethanol is a hoax, underneath our toes lies large amounts of oil, drill responsively here at home. killing them for their oil will not work. just a lil insight. be well!
no no i wouldnt why because the dirt between my toes does not define who i am soverinty poatriotoism they are just a loyalty to the dirt betweejn your toes we need to stop thinking us versus them and start thinking just us one world one people no borders to seperate no reason to fight no i will never go to war it has no purpose ever it all must end
if you believe in government of the people by the people for the people then youd believge we are all soveirein citizens and our soverienity is at stake by the bush regime our soveirien rights are under attack by the very people you support go on let em have bombs of mass destruction just what we need peace hap[pens when/?? when u cease fire lasting peace will only happen when we put away the weaponds for good
I don't care if the link goes to a partisan site, it is clearly a YouTube video of Obama making several specific statements. Enacted, Obama's promises would lead to America being very vulnerable in a world where unfortunately our only true military advantages are our advanced weapons systems and our nuclear arsenal, both things Obama says he will either curtail or eliminate. While I'd love to see a world of peace, I think Obama's plans wouldn't lead to one. Instead, I fear it would lead to those parachutes in our skies... and suddenly we would be fighting a war on our own soil.
Here is the problem. As long as we have nuclear weapons, we have no right to deny any other countries nuclear weapons. It is very difficult to force other nations into complying with their non-proliferation treaties, when we are not abiding by ours. When we are spending more money than the next ten countries combined on our military, that tend to make other countries nervous. I do believe we should have a military and it should be well equipped and trained. We should also be willing to use said military to defend out nation. However, I believe that in order for world peace to occur, someone has to lead the way. Why not us ?
HA! HA! yeah, obama's a pacifist. Man, don't let a little thing like facts get in the way of your dumb-ass opinions. lol
ok here is excepts from obamas speech to the chicago council on global affairs, april 23 2007.. http://my.barackobama.com/page/content/fpccga/ doesnt sound like he wants to "dismantle the military",, sounds like hes just another neocon in sheeples clothing...
WHOOOOOAAA,,LOOKS LIKE HE PISSED SOME BLACK FOLKS OFF WITH THAT SPEECH.. http://www.progressive.org/mp_ford011508 Obama surrenders on military spending Sen. Barack Obama is forsaking the position of most African-Americans on the issue of ever-escalating U.S. military spending. And progressive black leaders are letting him get away with it. For decades, Black America has maintained a general consensus in favor of “butter” in the national “butter or bullets” debate. The call for a “Marshall Plan” to rebuild America’s cities has been a constant in African-American public discourse, inevitably coupled with demands for lower military spending. The collapse of President Lyndon Johnson’s War on Poverty under a tsunami of Vietnam expenditures proved that war spells the death of urban domestic dreams. Now, however, for the first time since World War II, we witness a self-imposed silence on war spending among a number of black opinion-molders who would be shouting their heads off at the prospect of an even larger U.S. military establishment. The reason for this voluntary stand-down: Barack Obama supports the addition of nearly 100,000 soldiers and Marines in coming years, and he doesn’t want to be embarrassed by loud black voices of protest during his dash for the brass ring. “I strongly support the expansion of our ground forces by adding 65,000 soldiers to the Army and 27,000 Marines,” Obama told the Chicago Council on Global Affairs last April. That’s precisely the number favored by President Bush’s Defense Secretary Robert Gates over a five-year period at a cost of $108 billion, as estimated by the Congressional Budget Office. Sen. Hillary Clinton would add at least 80,000 troops, Rudy Giuliani wants 70,000 additional pairs of boots on the ground, somewhere on the planet, and Mitt Romney would add 100,000. To what purpose? Both Republicans and front-running Democrats claim to be aiming for dramatically lower U.S. troop numbers in Iraq, over varying, vague spaces of time. Where will the new troops be deployed? A central lesson of human history is that armies are raised in order to be sent somewhere. Obama, the Great Black Hope (and, apparently, a Great Hope for many whites who consider themselves anti-war), cannot plausibly claim the “peace candidate” mantle while simultaneously serving as a member in good standing of the club that lobbies for ever-increasing military budgets. Obama has definitively chosen guns over bread, bullets over butter. The money is already earmarked for the generals and admirals and defense contractors, with his signature prominently affixed. In a sense, the election is over, since all the “viable” candidates are members of the Military Spending Club. None of Clinton’s or Obama’s promises for urban revitalization, infrastructure repair, real health care reform, vastly increased federal aid to schools or affordable housing can't be taken seriously so long as they support a bloated Pentagon. The handwriting screams from the wall, but African-Americans who could previously be trusted to speak truth to power lose their voices when confronted with the stark reality of Obama’s position. The Rev. Jesse Jackson, an Obama endorser, sits quietly on the sidelines, uninvited to campaign with “his” candidate, but not daring to point out the “guns and butter” contradictions of an Obama presidency. The Rev. Al Sharpton, who will almost surely endorse Obama before the South Carolina primary, swears to high heaven that he will not be silenced by anyone, any time, anywhere — but keeps his mouth shut when it comes to Obama’s set-in-stone military spending commitments. Professor Michael Eric Dyson of Georgetown University and New York City Councilman Charles Barron, a former Black Panther, refuse to confront Obama’s ridiculous claim that blacks have come “90 percent of the way” to equality, or their candidate’s commitment to massive additional war spending. If progressive leaders in the black community don’t speak out, and if Obama doesn’t come around on military spending, he will not be an agent of “change” — certainly not of the kind “you can believe in,” as his campaign placards advertise. Glen Ford, executive editor of BlackAgendaReport.com, has been a journalist for nearly 40 years. just a wolf in sheeps clothing... lmao..:smilielol5:
