    Let Go

    Tense

    Though I’ve let go-

Pink, gray, and blue damaged clouds

That allow this damaged soul to fly….

Float, as if gravity didn’t exist.

I am everything, everywhere at once

    And nothing at all.

A checker on a checkerboard, made king,

Until the table is turned over.

    Memories tell stories

And make images in my mind….

    Tell them

    Until you aren’t here anymore.

    Fly

Even when your wings are broken.

    Die

And in your pocket hold a token

To pay for the boat ride across the river Styx

    To the Underworld

    Where your shadow still linger.

    I walk through this dream

    Afraid to wake up

    Yet, fighting to anyway….

I sweat blood and nail myself to this pain,

I sit in alleys and find my home in the trees

    Of enchanted forests.

    I grow

    Roots deepen, branches reaching out

    Living for moments…..

Wondering when I’ll really start living.

    My heart

Is in sacred places with the ancient

    My mind

    In lighted cities of night

    And still I stand

The same place in the road…..

    Cause it never began

    And will never end,

As long as the wind blows.

I smile at the earth’s beauty

    Inside

    I’m alone, I’m gone

    I’m everywhere but here

    But the mirror disagrees.

    Levels are….no longer

    I’ve let go

And still the sun goes down

Only to rise again another day.
