Has anyone read it? Victor Hugo wrote it.. I love this story, so I'm curious, what you, who read it, think about it...? :)

I went to the opera, only one I have been to. I loved it, what a great story.

I don't want to go to another opera now, cuz I know I won't like it as much.

I read the book in high school, and I thought it was good.

It is a very long book, but very rewarding indeed. The musical is good too, but in all essence it is a tribute to the literary masterpiece. If you can read French, then there is no substitute for the original work, (sans-plus any modern idioms that would spoil the atmosphere). For extra effect sit next to a fireplace, on a vintage armchair, with some Camembert and a bottle of Puillac '99 nearby.
