So, I am making this thread simply to state that I was in a weird-odd mood and had to listen to some Leonard Cohen. Hallejujah made me cry and this version (live) from 2008 made me tear up a bit..

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUfS8LyeUyM"]Leonard Cohen - Everybody knows (live in London, 2008) - YouTube

...in any case, I listened for a while longer... and yea, he was touring in 2011...he's 76 I believe. I want to catch him so bad. I will travel overseas. okay, okay.
yea, I have a kid and although much more money, im not a money tree... but I will try to ...

you feel that way about any artist?

Most bands I want to see I've already seen more than once before. The bands that I would pay to see any time, any where would be in this order:

    1. The Gaslight Anthem/Brian Fallon
    2. Dropkick Murphys
    3. Rancid
    4. Social Distortion

I've been to a ton of shows and I've seen pretty much everyone I've wanted to see except Bruce Springsteen. I forgot about him and I'm slightly obsessed. He's one that I've never seen that I would like to.

Last time I saw Rancid I was not impressed... seemed like Tim was too fucked up and was barely playing at all. Just kind of standing up there yelling into the mic.

I've been on stage at a DKM show. Fuckin awesome. I've seen them probably 7 times. I'm thinking about going to Chicago to see them again in February. They always put on an awesome show. I've survived that pit too many times. 2 years ago I decided I'm too old for that anymore.

I just saw them again in September and it was a really good show. His voice sounded like it was giving out a little though. I met Tim in 2004 (I think). It was before the show and he asked what song I wanted them to play. I said roots radical. That the song they opened with. My guess is that it coincidence but I was still pretty stoked.

They always play St Mary which I love. The live version of The Wars End is pretty amazing too. Lars does it alone and its slowed down. You should YouTube it. Can't recall if they played David Courtney in September. They played a lot of old stuff so I was pretty excited.

Who believes that the tornadoes in the mid west (at this time of year) are an unusual occurrence worthy of attacks on Russia? Is there immorality to tolerate for the politicians? Or should we be thus immoral for ourselves? Should morality be the value for families to no more commitment to Divine Law?

Tool is a band on my must see list. RATM as well. Those two together would be amazing. Everyone else I can think of at the moment I've either already seen or refuse to pay their outrageous ticket prices.

Well Rebelution, and the Dirty Heads are a couple more. And Les Claypool. I'll probably be back as I think of more.

    TOOL YES!!!

and I saw RATM... (would love to again)... did you hear about the show in CT with rage n wu tang where the stage caught on fire? I think it was 1998. or 1999. In any case, we were way in the back but it was crazy sick. One of the high moments of my life. Expect the car getting towed but whatever.

Just saw this or woulda multi-quoted. Oh well.

Yea.. that's your opinion. I think Leonard is... only for some people. He does not sing like singers really. Yep. However, he is a beautiful poet and hits some amazing low notes and has an ambiance about him that is unparalled. He is a musicial genius but I can understand why some don't get or like him.

hahahahaha yeah he is performing in my town in about 3 weeks. But now I am going to be overseas I sold them to a friend. But if you had been able to do the flight I would have just given them to you, lol.

Next time I can't make a concert I will check if you can do it for sure! We have pretty similar tastes in music. :)
