i make pasta all the time cuz it's CHEAP and easy....here are some other cheap things i do with the leftover pasta, instead of sauce:

----- Fried Munchie Pasta: butter or oil or cooking spray in a frying pan. heat and add pasta. cook until pasta is partially crispy. yum. (optional: saute chopped garlic in the butter before adding pasta; add grated parmesian cheese when cooking's almost done... i bet mozzerella cheese would be good, too, now that i think bout it.)

----- Pasta Croutons: put cold pasta in your garden salad, especially with vinegrette or italian dressing, but works with any dressing. not so much for spaghetti-shaped pasta, more like rotini, penne, etc.

----- Poor Pothead Pasta Salad: just put italian dressing on cold pasta. it's delicious. (optional, depending on fridge/pantry contents: diced peppers, carrots, celery, olives, corn, peas, beans, chopped brocolli, etc. be creative...i think any veggie would work :)

----- Ghetto Brocolli soup: chicken boulion, water, brocolli, and any small pasta (works best with elbows). cook and eat.

    any other ideas?
    peace.

I take leftover angel hair and put it in a skillet, cook up the noodles, and then pour beat eggs over and scramble. Scramble, scramble. Add salt and pepper. It's wonderful. Eat with Texas toast.
