Lol, i remember when me and my ex began to be friends, we were just chillin, and then i was kinda bored, so i began to write something.. and he was like.. OMG, you're lefthanded??!?@? i was like.. yeah.. you didn't know that? he was like.. omg if i knew.... he paused, and he was like.... ......Ooohh... it all makes sense now! (he was serious) you're left handed!, thats why things never worked out... i began laughing soooo hard.. i was like WHAT?? he was like. yeah it all makes sense now.. i've had bad luck with left handers.. and YOU'RE a left hander.. why didn't you tell me this! i was laughing soooo i cried. he had that really cute serious face on.. it was cute. aww, i miss him .. lol.
and then i had to teach him how the left and right sides of your brain work. cause he had it all wrong...
I am left handed and I have a left hand guitar. Pppppppttttt! I am glad they don't break people's hands anymore to force them to use their right...I would not have liked that.
My cousin, who's 28, is left handed. Anyhow... Back when she was young, in the USSR (Belorus) being left handed was so looked down upon that she was punished by her school teachers until she learned to write with her right hand. Crazy, ehh? It did work out a tad well for her though. She can now write perfectly with both hands
Was not just in the USSR, in the states too! I was punished and graded lower in elementary school for being left handed on my papers and for how I held a pencil. I was a munchkin non conformist back then I guess.
Well Iam strange but not totally ambi-dextrous... I can onyl write nicley left handed, I can only shoot a rifle right handed, I can shoot a pistol and hammer nails and such with both hands just as well. I tend to eat with my right more than my left but can switch easily without a mess. I think the confussion was from childhood attempts to make me change my hand from left to right.
Yeah, I'd imagine that there aren't many people who started out as right-handed that taught themselves to write with their left, whereas there probably are quite a few like you, but maybe I'm wrong.
It's pretty fascinating to know that they also did that hand thing in Gringolandia. One of our biggest civil rights moves is the elimination of hand-based discrimination
You're forgetting that Gringolandia came from Europe... I heard that in some places, the left hand was for wiping and the right hand was for eating, so if you ate with your left you were gross. I guess they never heard about cross-contamination or soap.
all left-handers I've met so far in my life have the people I have gotten along with the most, for some reason.
yup yup i was punished in school for being left handed and not properly holdin the pencil ... i was picked at by old folks for bein a south paw amongst other things and the ol goat that watched me kids as younguns forced my daughter to use her right hand becuz of the wacky beliefs in lefties being evil n such,,,, weird lil thing for lefties ,,, we are generally the only folks that can write legibly both upside down and backwards. at the same time.
i love me left handedness! i wish every lef handed person can meet and we all be apart of the awesome left hander club!!! whose with me!?
