My first trip report, my 8th experience. (All the pictures are photos of our journey)

The story begins with a few bags of weed and 10 hits of some real good acid. I met up with 5 friends at about 18:00. 4 of us had 2 tabs each. (One friend was just smoking as he was working the next day) 4 of us dosed one tab each at roughly 18:30 and decided to go for a walk. We headed toward woodland. It was a good hour before we started feeling effects. We stopped at a pond and rolled a couple of spliffs.

On closer inspection of the pond we saw a trillion black dots swimming in the water, turns out they where tadpoles. We decided to dose our last lot of tabs. We fished up a few tadpoles with the baggies our acid came in and had a closer look at them, funny little things... After releasing the little critters back in to the water we decided to continue our journey. We walked around for a while and stumbled upon checkered flooring left over from an old building that used to be there. I stared at the checkered floor, I could see lines of light zapping through the checks, I knew I was tripping.

I looked up at the sky and I could still see the checks in the clouds. The tracers from my hands and people around me where getting thicker and much more noticeable. We continued down a path, everyone giggling. We came to a huge tower on the top of a hill. It must of been interesting because it seems like we where there for a while, the wind was intense on top of the hill, it was hard for me to handle. We carried on walking an ended up back at the checks! It felt like we had walked through the warp path on pac-man.

I was tripping hard now and walked a bit a head of everyone else. It was then one of my friends sailed past me on his BMX shouting "The levels, the levels know us". I laughed it off throughly enjoying the trip. I started to notice a huge pattern directly in front of my vision, it had always been there I just hadn't took notice. The same pattern seemed to be carved in to EVERYTHING. It was the building blocks of life.

I stared at an amazing view on top of the hill watching the world bend and warp changing in to amazing landscapes that seemed to get more complex, when the vision reached the most complex form it turned out to be what it was originally, the same view. Realizing this blew my mind.

I became fascinated with the patterns that seemed to make up the world as we know it. I tried to reach out and touch the pattern in front of me. As my hands got closer the pattern seemed to crumble and float away. It was funny. I played with it and chased it about. This must of gone on for an hour or two. Although its hard to tell when time melts.

I started thinking about the pattern, it was getting more complicated. It was almost as if my thought intensified the complexity of the pattern. The rest of the group cought up. I was falling deep inside my own mind. I looked around at the friends I was with, some where staring in to space, others giggling. The something clicked, "The levels" I turned to my BMX'ing friend and said "I get it! The levels!" he nodded at me with an understanding expression. He knew exactly what I had discovered. I saw everyone I was with was on different levels, some still playing and exploring this new world and others starting to think and work it out. I saw I had been growing up, I entered a new world and started off by playing and exploring like a child. Now I had "grown up" a bit I had began to try to make sense of it like a young adult would in the real world. It made perfect sense. I began understanding how these levels worked - lower levels can not understand the thinking of higher levels, but they are on the way... One step at a time, they cannot skip steps. Higher levels can look down at lower levels and understand what they are going through and that they are on the way to higher understandings. This idea of levels seemed to link into everything, from trip levels, to mental level, the levels in evolution, etc. They are like levels within levels, all perfectly linking in with on another. The more I thought the more mental levels I seemed to be climbing I was constantly becoming more enlightened.

At some point; I came to the conclusion that we all have the same story in life, we are all going through these levels in life one by one.. the same emotions and feelings but just in different perspectives, we have all hated something, we have all loved something, we have all or will have to let something go, we have been constantly changing our opinions as we learn more. In effect, in a life time one person has been several different people. The older we grow, the wiser we get. I then came to the conclusion we all must be the same person, we are all the reincarnation of our selfs. The same person, living the same life over and over from a different perspective each time. The world has grown up much like a person grows up, The more we understand the older we are, the older we are the closer we are to death. Look around at the complex world we are currently living in, we have understood allot as a race and must be coming to our end. Its almost as if before it can come to and end, it needs to understand whats next, whats after death? The more I pondered on this question the more that was revealed to me, It was as if I was always one step ahead of my self. I knew more than I was letting myself know, so I could climb the levels, releasing the right information at the right time. I knew I could not fully understand what would happen as I was not at that level yet. I would need to be dead. But I could begin to try to understand it. All that I knew is that there was more, allot more. This life is like a journey of understanding that we all need to take so we can understand the complexity of the next life. During all of this I was walking with the group. The next thing we knew we where back near where we started. We did a full circle. We headed back to a friends house. As we got close we saw a bright light that loured us in. We walked up to it with amazement.

All of a sudden the light cut out into darkness, it was a car! a figure jumped out. My heart sank, one of my friends ran away as quick as he could the guy that jumped out chased after him. I could feel the intensity of the situation. I looked in to the car and saw it was an old friend I had not spoke to in a while. I looked at him and said "What are you doing to yourself?" He gave me a confused look. "What are you doing" I said, "He's tripping!". "He brought it on himself" he said. Turns out my friend had got himself in a bit of bother with someone. (I'm not going to go in to it). We had lost the friend that run away. After a surprisingly pleasant exchange of words with his predators. The car screeched off and we returned to the house. It was hectic after what just happed. Everyone was talking to each other about the situation, I could see everyone as me at different levels. It was to much, it was to much for my BMX'ing friend as well... "We have to get out, find him" We both grabbed a bike and went off in search of out lost friend. We had no real sense of direction and ended up going wherever the flow took us.

We where coming up to our old school. We went through a real dark patch, pitch black. We where going full speed (or so it felt) on these bikes. I could see my memories of the place in deep blue and purple outlines. I shouted "I can see what I can remember" My friend agreed he could to. It was bizzar. We came up to the school and sat on a picnic bench and rolled a spliff each. We started talking about some real deep stuff, but neither of us proposed a theory to each other we both found our selfs talking about the exact same thing. The levels, Life, We understood. Our minds where open, but we knew there was always more. We discovered more and more. We where climbing levels of understanding. We found we could map our thoughts for each other on the table. almost like playing on a huge 3D iPad. We talked about where religion came from and why they oppose. How everything is one and where we are going as a race. We came to the conclusion every event, no matter how disastrous, was for a good cause in the long run. It happened and will happen for a reason. We knew no matter how much we went over our thoughts. We could never understand it sober as much as we could during the trip as we would be on a different level. The whole experience was allot more enlightening than I can explain now.

After a couple of hours of in depth discussion about everything. We decided to head back to see if our lost friend had returned. We came back to the house to find the rest of our group including the missing friend, all sat laughing and joking with each other. They told us they had figured a lot out, they where beginning to understand at the same time we were even though we where at separate locations. We spent the rest of the night getting lost in the walls and discussing what we had learned that day. All in all, a great experience for everybody. And definitely a personal favorite for me. The next morning I made an attempt to recreate the pattern.

    Thank you for sharing! :)

I really enjoyed the pictures, they were awesome! Also, I can relate to what you said about the different 'levels'. I too have noticed this while tripping.. but I really have to give riding a bike while tripping a try! Sounds like so much fun..i can only imagine.

Good stuff there man... nice attempt to put into words what the experience was like but I know as much as you tried you didn't pull it off. :D Good college try tho, thanks !

I also dig the photos. Most excellent. Did you take them? I like the tweeked white balance. In the second one I really don't know how the purple part was done, like a reflection of the water onto the trees above. Pure psychedelia. Most excellent.

Hey Cory... is that shot in your sig SF or Philly? Looks very Philly to me. I like the small focused subject in the corner foreground while the rest blurs off into the background.
